Volunteers Needed!

M ichigan Schools and Government is hosting two Financial Reality Fairs and needs your help as volunteers!

Friday, December 2, at Sterling Heights High School, 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Friday, December 9, at L'Anse Creuse North High School from 7:15 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

A Financial Reality Fair is an experiential learning event that allows students to simulate living on their own for a month in the real world. Students are each provided with an identity consisting of a job, a starting salary, a credit score, and potential student loans. They then visit several booths to obtain the goods and services they need such as food, transportation, and housing.

Community adult-aged volunteers are needed for a few hours each day. There are absolutely no requirements or experience necessary to volunteer. All materials & information will be provided in order to staff a booth.
