Student Ministry
The best spiritual formation
St Stephen's can provide Middle and High School students at 10 o'clock on Sunday mornings is full engagement in the 10 o'clock Eucharist. Students will fully participate in, and may assist at leading, the most important thing Christians do: worship. During the reception which follows, students are encouraged to gather in the youth room to discuss the scriptures and the service in which they just participated. Middle and High School students at
St Stephen's are encouraged to serve the Lord as acolytes, ushers, and scripture readers at the 10 o'clock Eucharist. To volunteer yourself or your child for duties in any of these roles, please contact the church office at  [email protected] or
put a note in the hands of
Father Ellsworth.

Stewardship 2017

A majority of our members have now submitted pledges. We are particularly grateful that our average pledge has increased significantly over last year.  However, our Vestry cannot commit to a final budget for 2017 until we have sufficient pledges in had to cover the proposed expenses for the coming year.

You may download one by clicking this  pledge card link  and mail (or scan & email), or send a confirming email to [email protected]

We need your support.

Thanks to all who donated to the San Francisco/Marin Food Bank at Thanksgiving.  Two full barrels have been picked up.

An empty barrel remains in the narthex for non-perishables.  Hunger doesn't take a holiday.

Rain Gear

Thank you to the congregation and to the Rev. Phillip Channing Ellsworth , Jo Ann Haseltine, and Betsy Menzel for helping. We have raised nearly $3,000 for rain gear and wool socks for the homeless. We should be able to supply 180 homeless people with rain ponchos and socks this year.  Questions? Contact Joe Jennings
WreathHoliday2016
Despite a weekend of rain, artists brought one-of-a-kind treasures to the faire and shoppers found perfect holiday gifts for the special people on their lists.  The experience was enhanced by delicious food and drink and live music that filled the room with joy. The event raised a record $2050 for 2017 Camp Create...so far!

Anasazi Luncheon - RSVP today pleaseFletcher
Friday
2 December
11am

Who was your Santa Claus?  Could it have been Horace P. Fletcher?  Join Dr. Bill in a short reflection on who you remember as Santa Claus.  Then hear the story of Horace P. Fletcher: Adventurer, Philosopher, Masticator, Nutritionist, Economist, Ecologist, and Social Reformer.  Although for most his name is no longer remembered, his ideas are as relevant today as they were over one hundred years ago.  He may have been the Santa Claus of his era for many of his followers.

Lunch is $5.  Please RSVP TODAY to Lois Cannady at 435-1780 or through this email click .  Everyone is invited to attend.

Would you like to play a larger part in the pageant? Please email Joe Jennings today!  The Casting Call is out for the speaking roles.  And no worries; there is only one major rehearsal and the speaking roles just come a wee bit earlier on that one rehearsal day (Sat, Dec. 17).

We invite all families, empty nesters, singles, and visitors to join in the pageant. It is done as a reader's theater with scripts and costumes provided, so no memorization is required.

Pick one up for your household this Sunday and start coloring.

Please pick up an Advent poster calendar from the Kimball Hall entryway this Sunday to help your household observe Advent.

Each day of the calendar can be colored as they occur and with your family's unique style (even if you are a family of one!) During Christmastide, write your family name on the top and bring it to church to decorate Kimball Hall.

Father Ellsworth would like one in every household, so that you can begin to color day by day.
