How to Supervise People and Lead a Team

The Chamber is hosting Glenn Shepard on Tuesday, December 6, for a half-day seminar based on his book, How to Manage Problem Employees. The seminar will take place at the National Training Center from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and is $129 for Chamber members and $149 for non-Chamber members. Young Professionals Member of the Month

Haley Gerig was named the Young Professionals' November Member of the Month. Gerig graduated from the International Academy of Design and Technology in Orlando with a Bachelor of Arts in Fashion Design and Merchandising. In 2014, she purchased a two home property and found the process fun and fascinating, so after four years in retail management, Gerig decided to switch career paths.

Gerig received her real estate license in 2016 and says she "is now in her element, gaining properties and education as she goes." Gerig is a property manager for ERA Grizzard in the Orlando and South Lake County market and "looks forward to working with industry leaders to excel in property management."

Senior Expo is December 13

The Senior Healthy Living Expo will be held on December 13 at the Clermont City Center. Over 800 attendees are expected at this year's expo. For sponsorship and exhibitor registration information, click here.

National Canoe and Kayak Championships to be Held in Clermont

In August 2017, the National Canoe and Kayak Championships will be held in Clermont and the South Florida Canoe and Kayak Club is looking for sponsors. Click here to view the sponsorship opportunities.

Chamber Cruise 2017

The Florida resident rates for the Chamber Cruise just went down again! The new rates are:

Ocean view with picture window: $713.30 for two people (was $795)
Ocean view with port hole: $679.30 for two people
Inside cabin: $627.30 for two people (was $739)
Larger ocean view with picture window (obstructed view): $765.30 for two people

The Chamber cruise will be from Friday, January 20 to Monday, January 23, 2017 on Royal Caribbean's Majesty of the Seas. The cruise will be leaving from Port Canaveral and stopping in Nassau and at Royal Caribbean's Private Island before returning to Port Canaveral. To book your cruise, click here.
