You are cordially invited....
by: Steve Matheny,  Executive Director

We would love to have the pleasure of your company at a unique gala evening of fine food, fine music - and fine company! The Granville Business Alliance is proud to host the first annual Evening of Brilliance on Friday evening, November 3, 2017 at the historic Granville Inn.  Our vision for this evening is to offer an opportunity to pause and enjoy a wonderful four course formal dinner along with first class musical entertainment in a delightful setting.  Make a plan to join us....you know you deserve it!

The evening's featured musical artists include local favorites Peter Larson, Dr. Andy Carlson, Tom Carroll, Doug Richeson, and Seth Rogers.  A live and silent auction will also be featured with the proceeds helping to fund scholarships for two highly deserving students - one from Denison University and a second from Granville High School.  The scholarships will be administered and selected through the Licking County Foundation who will identify the two students who best exemplify an entrepreneurial spirit with a love for the Granville community.  Tickets for this inaugural event are $ 75.00 per person or $ 550.00 for a discounted table for eight and they are available on line at http://granvilleoh.com/granvillealliance.

The Granville Business Alliance is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization that was organized to identify, support, and retain business talent and to create an entrepreneurial culture within the Granville area with a focus on educational workshops and events, business culture, and the development of youth engagement.

We look forward to sharing your company at this first annual event...what a brilliant idea! The festivities begin with cocktails at 6:30 followed by dinner at 7:00pm. Reserve your space now!

KUDOS!

Congratulations to Superintendent Jeff Brown and the Granville Exempted Village School District for its amazing high-marks in this round of state report cards! Way to go!

The U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs has awarded the Licking County Coalition for Housing (LCCH) critical renewal funding for its Supportive Services of Veteran Families program. LCCH was one of 288 nonprofit organizations nationally to receive this grant award. Congratulations LCCH!

Out of 61 categories, the Granville Area Chamber of Commerce found our member businesses to be represented 50 times in the Newark Advocate's Best of Licking County Awards process. Voting is now over and the winners will be announced in a special section of the Newark Advocate on Sunday, October 22. Best of luck to the nominees! We are proud of you!

Congratulations to our local businesses and community members who provided such amazing support of our Granville Police Department in their quest to add two police dogs to the force. We are happy to report that enough funds were raised to obtain both dogs, the first of which, Splinter, has already begun training with his officer partner. We couldn't be more proud of our amazing community.

Innovative Organics Recycling offers businesses and consumers throughout the Columbus region a wide variety of services with Zero Waste as the goal.  They have a Class II Ohio EPA compost facility license which means they can accept food waste, animal manures, and yard waste. Instead of tossing food scraps from making last nights' salad and that moldy bread into the trash can, eventually making its way to our overcrowded landfill, Innovative Organics Recycling offers a viable alternative - collect our food waste and convert into healthy soil.

The Ohio State University Extension Master Gardener Volunteer Program provides intensive training in horticulture to interested Ohio residents, who then volunteer their time assisting with educational programs and activities for Ohio residents through their local OSU Extension county office. Volunteers are not required to have gardening skills or knowledge; but a passion for learning about gardening and sharing this knowledge with others is a must!
