State 4-H
Camp

Still searching for that perfect Christmas gift for your son or daughter?  Why not give them an unforgettable experience? Currituck County 4-H has a great opportunity for you. County 4-H staff have organized and will accompany youth to Betsy Jeff Penn 4-H Center in Reidsville, NC during the week of June 11-16, 2017. Limited spaces are available so register today. Payment plans are available and some limited scholarship assistance is available on the basis of financial need.
Master Gardener
Recognition

Recently the NC Cooperative Extension Service of Currituck County hosted its annual Master Gardener Volunteer Recognition Banquet to honor volunteer achievements during 2016. A variety of Master Gardener awards were given including service awards, the "golden shovel", special recognition and more. The Recognition Banquet was concluded with the Master Gardener of the Year Award given to Clay and Fran Higgins of Harbinger, NC.
Holiday
Festivities

Currituck County began it's Holiday festivities with a bang on December 2nd at the Community Park in Currituck with the 64th Annual Tree Lighting hosted by NC Cooperative Extension. The 10-foot Currituck County Christmas Tree was lit, Kelly's Classical Ballet and Dance performed several dances, Extension Volunteers served cocoa and cookies, and  a new addition to the festivities was a healthy taste testing served by Currituck Extension Master Food Volunteers.
