Preparing Each Student for a Successful Future

As a reminder, the Staff Communicator will be distributed each Thursday that we are in session, and two summer issues are also distributed. Archived copies can be found on the "Communications Department" web page.
Annual Giving Campaign...Rollover!
We are proud to offer the opportunity for our employees to give back to local philanthropic organizations. Through a one-time (deducted each January) or monthly payroll deduction employees can donate any amount to the Republic Community Foundation or to Care to Learn Republic.

If you signed up last year and currently participate, YOU DO NOT HAVE TO COMPLETE A NEW FORM THIS YEAR. Your donation amount and frequency will be rolled over from last year.

So, if you were a one-time donor, the same amount you asked be deducted in January 2016 will be taken out of your January 2017 pay check. And if you are currently a monthly donor, the amount that currently comes out of your pay check will continue coming out for 2017. If you want to continue your 2016 donation amounts, NO FURTHER ACTION IS NEEDED.

To review your current donation amount, log in to SISFin (requisition portal) and look up your pay stub from January 2016 (for one-time donors) or from any other month if you are a monthly donor. The password to download your pay stubs is the last four digits of your SSN.

If you'd like to change or cancel the frequency or dollar amount you donate, please contact Missy Lester at  milissa.lester@republicschools.org  before December 20.

If you are currently NOT SIGNED UP TO DONATE and would like to do so, follow the link below and complete the form. Deductions will begin in January 2017.

Helping One of Our Own
You may have heard about a motorcyclist in our community that was recently killed in an accident on his way to a toy ride. That gentleman was Spencer Dycus. His mother, Stacey Pfeifer is a cook at Schofield Elementary. With Stacey's permission a GoFundMe account has been created to help raise funds for funeral costs. The Food Service Department would like to invite those of you who feel compelled to use the link below to donate in honor of Mr. Dycus and to help one of our own cover costs to burry a loved one.

Text Opt-In Reminder
FOR THOSE WHO HAVE NOT YET OPTED IN TO RECEIVE TEXTS:
If you are pretty confident your cell number is in SISK12 first try manually texting "Y" to code 67587. If that goes through, you will receive a confirmation text letting you know you are signed up to receive future texts. If that works, you are good to go.

However, if that does not work please contact Shawna Laffoon ( shawna.laffoon@republicschools.org) at Central Office  to double-check that your number is in SISK12 correctly. If it's not, she will manually put it in the system and then you should receive the  opt-in message the next day.

If your number is already in SISK12, the issue is most likely with your wireless carrier. In that case you will need to contact your wireless provider and let them know you are unable to receive SMS messages. They should be able to turn them on.
