Information is critical during an emergency. By registering at Sacramento-Alert.org , we can provide you with real-time alerts by phone, text or email in the event of a flood, neighborhood evacuation, major road closure, severe weather or other dangerous conditions. Signing up is easy and your information is protected. We will only contact you during an emergency.


After-Hours Contact Information

To report flooding, fallen trees, and other non-life threatening emergencies during a storm, call the City of Rancho Cordova at (916) 851-8700. Service is available during regular business hours and after-hours.
 
To report a power outage, call SMUD at 1-888-456-7683 or visit the website at  www.smud.org/en/outages and click on "Report an Outage." SMUD provides information on current outages and estimated restoration time on the website and/or on its  Twitter page.
 
If you see downed power lines or hear crackling wires, stay away! To report downed power lines, call 9-1-1 and then SMUD at 1-888-456-7683. Keep others away, and avoid contact with anything that may be touching fallen wires.
 
In case of a life-threatening emergency, please call 911.
