WE-Lend
The Women's Business Cen te r offers microloan products to support small businesses in the Kansas City metro area. Each loan recipient will receive structured technical assistance support in the development of their business and access to a Financial Coach.

We offer loans of up to $25,000 for existing businesses, including loans for start-ups, with a special emphasis on women-owned businesses.

OneKC for Women partners with Kansas City Women in Technology
The OneKC for Women alliance has partnered with Kansas City Women in Technology to promote women in tech.

What Women Want from Men in the Workplace

Global speaker, Rania Anderson, will deliver practical advice that attendees will be able to immediately apply.

LaunchU
We had 13 graduates from our Fall LaunchU class on Monday, October 23. Congratulations!

LaunchU is a program designed specifically for micro-entrepreneurs, business owners who will be starting up on a shoestring budget and employing five or fewer employees at the start of their business. It is open to both men and women.

The Capital Series
The Capital Series is offered by the Enterprise Center in Johnson County for investors and entrepreneurs, allowing for detailed discussions of the due diligence process, term sheets, valuations and investor pitches during the equity investment process, as well as discussion of possible sources of debt financing.

Beyond borders: Federal grant equips KC to build regional $5M seed fund
The Enterprise Center of Johnson County (ECJC) announced October 2 it secured a $150,000 Economic Development Administration Seed Fund Support grant.

A bi-state consortium - comprised of the ECJC, the Economic Development Corporation of Kansas City, KCSourceLink, OneKC for Women, the Kauffman Foundation, the GKC Chamber of Commerce and area investors - led the grant effort.

Debra Kunz: Kansas Woman Business Advocate of the Year
Debra Kunz, Founder of the Center for Deliberate Growth , was selected as the 2017 Kansas Women Business Advocate of the Year, which was presented at the annual Kansas Minority Enterprise Development (MED) Week Awards Luncheon in Topeka on October 5.
