Polio awareness and treatment has helped save 16 million people from paralysis.
Help HHRD provide vaccinations in our Mother Child Health Care Centers
Mother Child Health Care Centers Save Lives
Assalaamu Alaykum WaRahamatullahi WaBarakatahu,

Health care services and immunizations have come a long way since the 1980's with an increasingly large drop in polio cases from 350,000 to a reported 37 cases last year. However, this potentially fatal disease continues to threaten children under the age of five in undeveloped countries and rural areas. HHRD's Mother Child Health Care Centers (MCHC) help provide proper vaccinations services as well as, health and hygiene sessions to the mothers of newborns and children who lack access to healthcare.

Presently, Afghanistan, Nigeria and Pakistan are the three countries that provide continuous transmission of the polio vaccine. This development played a major role in the reduction of reported cases by bringing them down 99.9%. HHRD has 10 MCHCs throughout Pakistan which has helped 64,681 people and provided 2,440 vaccinations last year.

Children still need to be vaccinated and the reality is that if this vaccination stops the threat of resurgence could paralyze 200,000 children worldwide annually within a decade.

On this World Polio Day join HHRD in the global effort to eradicate this paralyzing disease by raising awareness of the need to provide health care assistance in rural, undeveloped and conflict prone areas. Donate to our Mother Child Health Care Center today and help save a life! Visit our website for further information or to support this worthwhile cause.
