Thank You for Another Great Vintage Affair!

Kim McAfee, of Coldwell Banker, had the winning bids for 2 live auction items!
More than 340 supporters attended the 15th Annual Vintage Affair raising $117,000 for CAC! Guests enjoyed food from the best local restaurants, wine tasting and fun live and silent auctions! The event on Saturday, October 7 was hosted by Holy Innocents' Episcopal Church. Since almost everything was donated for the gala event, almost every dollar raised goes to help neighbors in need.  The Vintage Affair is CAC's largest annual fundraiser and supports programs to prevent homelessness and hunger in the Sandy Springs and Dunwoody communities. Thank you everyone who sponsored, donated, volunteered and attended! Check out our Photo Gallery on Facebook !

Group Gives Local Children New Jackets

More than 160 local children received new jackets at CAC last weekend from a local organization! The Knights of Columbus Council 16513 of CAC member congregation Saint Jude the Apostle Catholic Church received the funding from the Society of St. Vincent De Paul and coordinated the distribution with CAC. The light weight winter jackets were distributed to CAC families from Sandy Springs and Dunwoody, to girls and boys ages from pre-K through high school. CAC accepts donations of new and gently used clothing for men, women and children as well as home goods and furniture. Bring your donations to CAC at 8607 Roswell Road.
Your Donations Really Do Make a Difference

When you donate to CAC, you make a difference in the lives of neighbors among us, such as this middle class family that unexpectedly found themselves in a hardship situation. The father of the family was laid off from his job of 15 years. They weren't sure where to turn for help, and then they found CAC. Through CAC they were able to get emergency financial assistance for rent to stay in their home, get food so they could spend their remaining income on other vital needs and gain skills from the adult education program that helped him get a new job. He recently sent a letter to CAC.

"...I am so thankful to all the counselors (at CAC) who assisted me and assured me that everything would be ok.  They were right! This program (CAC) is a godsend to the Sandy Springs community and it needs to continue.  There are so many who could benefit from their assistance.  Anything that I can do to be of assistance going forward I will do so without hesitation."
