Do Your Employees Know How to Handle a Premises Liability Risk Correctly?
Any business that has "visitors" to their location faces the risk of premises liability. Premises liability risk refers to situations that occur on property (or "premises") owned or maintained by you, a business owner, and can leave you open to legal responsibility. Visitors can include any non-employee including customers, solicitors, sales people, delivery persons and even contractors performing a service such as snow removal, window washing or computer maintenance.
Incidents involving visitors to your business can happen anywhere or at anytime. Be sure you have guidelines in place for your employees to follow, when responding to reports of injuries to visitors or damage to visitors' property. If employees are trained to quickly and effectively respond to an incident, the situation will remain calm and cause less of a disruption to the rest of the location.

5 Key Elements of Forklift Safety
OSHA estimates that 35,000 serious injuries and 62,000 non-serious injuries involving forklifts occur annually. Further, data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics shows that 96 U.S. workers were killed in incidents involving forklifts in 2015.
A safety guide published by the Washington State Department of Labor & Industries states that workers without proper training and knowledge of forklift operation, as well as operators who maneuver forklifts carelessly, have an increased risk of injury or death.
