Here is what is happening
@ City Church...

Pre-Service Hospitality
Every Sunday during Advent Season
Join us this Advent Season for a pre-service fellowship time.  We will have light breakfast foods and coffee.  If anyone loves to bake and would like to bring something, please contact the City Church office.   This time of food and fellowship will continue through Advent season.  (9:30-10:15 in the Fellowship Hall).  Invite your friends and neighbors!

Advent Season is Underway!
The word 'Advent' is a word that means 'coming' or 'arrival' and usually refers to the expectation and preparation for the coming or arrival of a great king into the city.  For the Christian, Advent Season has the same purpose.  As we journey towards Christmas, Advent focuses us on the expectation of Christ our King's second coming, while also looking back and remembering the preparation that came with His First.

We invite you to join us as we celebrate Advent with our 4-week Advent Series:  And He Shall Reign Forever.  This series will highlight both the memory of the First Advent and hope expectant for the second advent, while delighting in the realty of Jesus as King who indeed reigns forever.

Christmas Eve Service
Dec. 24th 5:30pm
City Church invites you to join us for our annual Christmas Eve service.  Service time begins promptly at 5:30pm.  Traditionally this service is usually filled to capacity and we would encourage you to come early in order to get a good seat.  Doors open at 5:15pm.

Christmas Day Service
Dec. 25th 5:30pm
Christmas Day is on Sunday this year.  In an effort to come along side our church members, staff, and community, we are moving our usual 10:30am service time to 5:30pm on Christmas Day.

We want to encourage you to be with your family on Christmas morning and then join us at City Church as we end the day with a time of worship, communion and Christmas message from Rev. Carter.

New Year's Eve
Dec. 31st 6:00pm
City Church invites you to join us for our annual Covenant Renewal service on New Years Eve.  Our Covenant Service gives us an opportunity to end the year with worship, scripture readings and the sacrament of communion.  The service time is from 6pm to 7pm.  Join us on New Years Eve before you head out to celebrate the start of the new year.

Winter Membership Class
January 15th
City Church offers membership classes to anyone who is interested in joining our church.  While participating in the class does not obligate you for membership, it does serve as an excellent way to learn more about our orthodoxy and orthopraxy.  Please email the church office to sign up for this class.

Men's and Women's Accountability
January 8th-14th
For our church members who signed up back in the summer for our Men's and Women's Accountability Groups, just a reminder that they are resuming the week of January 8th-14th. Make plans now to resume your bi-monthly group!
