National Night Out
in West County, Tuesday, August 5.
Many events planned in our community.
I hope you'll join me, your neighbors, and local law enforcement for National Night Out on Tuesday, August 5th to stand together for community safety.

This annual tradition started in Texas in 1984 to promote public involvement in crime prevention, police-community partnerships, and neighborhood camaraderie.  The movement quickly went national.

Numerous Night Out events are planned for West Contra Costa including in Richmond, North Richmond, San Pablo, El Cerrito, Pinole, Kensington and East Richmond Heights.

Here's a short list of events in West County.  To find an event in your community, check with your local city offices or police department.
  • Richmond; 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.  Kick off celebration to start at the Target parking lot with a Community Block Party ending at City Hall.
(in front of City Hall), plus smaller, neighborhood block parties. For more contact Michelle Milam by email or at 510-620-6538.
  • San Pablo; contact Officer Ken White at 510-215-3213.
  • El Cerrito; call Lt. De La Campa 510-215-4448.

For additional information, contact James Lyons in my office via email or by phone at 510-231-8692.

Lets work together for neighborhood safety!

Sincerely,
John
