ANNUAL VERDE SCHOOL HOODIE & BOOK DRIVE UPDATE!
Your support is still needed for North Richmond kids
The 2015 Verde Elementary School Book & Hoodie Drive is on, and we still need your help!

Thanks to all of the generous donors who have already mailed or dropped off checks to support this wonderful holiday tradition.

Verde Elementary School is located in North Richmond and nearly all its families are very low income.

This year -- the 17th consecutive year we've sponsored this drive -- every student will receive a new book and hoodie  printed with the words "Work Hard. Get Smart. Think You Can."  The hoodies will also become part of the school uniform.

These hoodies are a new design from the ones you helped us provide last year, and will be purchased from a local business.

To make this happen, we need to raise $7000 for the 350 hoodies and books. Donations of cash or check are much appreciated and tax deductible, and must be
received by Friday, December 11th.

Checks should be made payable to the non-profit "Neighborhood House of North Richmond" and note "2015 Verde Hoodie Drive" on the check.

Donations and checks can be dropped off or mailed to my office:
11780 San Pablo Avenue, Suite D
El Cerrito, CA 94530
(Just north of the El Cerrito Del Norte BART Station)

You can also make your donation when you come to my community holiday party at my office on Wednesday, December 9 from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. We'll have nourishing appetizers and refreshments!

Students will receive the books and hoodies at a special holiday party at the school.
