Film viewing and discussion about designing healthy communities tonight in San Pablo
Join me tonight in San Pablo for a film viewing about our built environment, then stay for a discussion.  The film, "Designing Healthy Communities -- Impacts of our Built Environment on Public Health," features West Oakland residents and how air pollution from the Port of Oakland impacts their lives.

We can learn a lot from our nearby neighbors. Obesity, diabetes, heart disease, asthma, and even depression can be linked to how a community is designed.

As a member of the California Air Resources Board and the Bay Area Air Quality Management District, I want to make sure we're breathing the cleanest air possible.

After the film, I'd appreciate hearing from residents on air quality issues, getting your input on building healthier communities, and exploring ways we can work together to protect our environment.

Here's more information for tonight's film.  You can also download a flyer, which is available in both English and Spanish.
