Let's Get Stormwater Savvy
|
In an effort to bring awareness to stormwater pollution prevention, we have created videos that explain the importance of preventing stormwater pollution. Our pilot video was an Enviroscape demonstration that provided a visual of pollutants being carried into our watershed. Last week we released a second video that shows the step-by-step process of making our eco-friendly pesticide spray. If you have visited us at community events, this is the recipe we include in our spray bottle giveaways that includes all-natural ingredients like neem and rosemary oils. Eco-friendly Gift Wrap
Encourage your family and friends to reuse old newspapers and magazines as eco-friendly and stormwater-savvy gift wrapping choices this holiday season! Newspaper will give your packages a classic and vintage look while colorful magazine pages work great for wrapping small packages.

Deck the Halls and Recycle the Tree
After the New Year, trees can be recycled by turning them into mulch, which helps slow stormwater from running off of your property. If you have access to a tree chipper, you can create your own mulch by chipping the trunk and branches. Or you can use your neighborhood curbside pickup so the tree can be reused for a public works project. Check in with
Burrtec later in the month. They plan to release dates for curbside pick up at the end of the month.
