Deanna

Meet Deanna, one of our newest employees. She has five "fur kids" of her own - 4 dogs and 1 cat. Deanna enjoys working at WagsInn caring for the dogs and says it doesn't seem like "work." She feels connected to animals and is passionate about understanding their individual needs. Her mantra is "Live and love every day like tomorrow will never come." Welcome to the team, Deanna!

Dog of the Month

In memory of Lucy Lu

Lucy Lu was rescued from a busy road and adopted by our longtime volunteer Donna. Lucy recently passed over the rainbow bridge, but had a long, wonderful life as Donna's sidekick. We'll miss seeing Lucy at WagsInn.

We are so thankful for Donna's volunteer service the last eight years. She has been a blessing and we're honored to call her a friend.

Thank you, Donna. Rest in peace sweet Lucy Lu.

Special Guests Visit WagsInn

We were honored to have volunteers from U.S. Bank spend a day with us learning about our facility. The team of volunteers was able to spend some time with our dogs available for adoption. Petey and Penelope loved meeting new people and thoroughly enjoyed the extra love and attention. Thank you, U.S. Bank!

How cold is too cold for your dog?

Dogs and Cold Weather

So far we've had an exceptionally warm fall and a mild start to winter. But, cold temps are knocking. Dogs respond differently from the cold. P ay close attention to your dog. When temperatures drop below 20°F, your dog could develop cold-associated health problems like hypothermia and frostbite.

What a Year

As 2016 comes to a close, we want to express our sincere gratitude for your continued trust and support. We're overwhelmed by your generosity and compassion.

This year 23 dogs came to WagsInn Canine Charities and 22 adoptions were completed.

You inspire us to do more, to give more, and to love more. We couldn't do this without your support.

Have a blessed holiday season and a joyous and peaceful new year.

Here's to many wagging tails and lots of puppy dog kisses.

Cheers,

LORI WOLCOTT
and the WagsInn Staff

ADOPT ME!
Meet Xander & Eddie

Xander and Eddie were rescued together from a shelter in Kentucky. They are shepherd/hound blends approximately 2 to 3 years old.

Xander is a cuddle bug and loves belly rubs. He is starting to play ball more and loves to romp around with other dogs.

Eddie has a lot of energy and loves to play with Xander, but he can also be a couch potato.  Eddie is Mr. Independent, but when he  receives one-on-one time he gets very loving and cuddly.

Both boys are neutered and are up to date on vaccinations. Call us to meet the Kentucky crew!
