CCISD: Snapshots is a weekly photo newsletter that highlights events, activities and happenings across the District. Anyone can submit a photo. Just remember the following:
  • CCISD policy and procedures require all students to have the proper CCISD photo release to appear in CCISD publications 
  • Not all photos submitted can or will be used in Snapshots.The Office of  Communications has final photo approval
  • Photos must be submitted separately in .jpg format

YOU CAN'T STOP THE BEAT
Students, staff and community supporters gathered at Clear Falls High School for a special viewing party with KPRC Channel 2 for NBC's "Hairspray Live!" Maddie Baillio, a 2014 Clear Falls graduate, made her television debut as Tracy Turnblad in the live show which was based on the Tony Award-winning Broadway musical. She joined a star-studded cast including Kristin Chenoweth, Harvey Fierstein and Ariana Grande.
HOLIDAY CAROLS AT THE ESC
Holiday music filled the halls of the Education Support Center as choirs, bands and orchestras from schools across Clear Creek ISD performed for staff.

THE ROAD TO THESPIAN NATIONALS
After a successful weekend at the Texas Thespians Festival in Dallas, 27 Clear Creek ISD students across all five comprehensive high schools have qualified for Thespian Nationals this summer. The students competed in the three-day event filled with contests, workshops and performances intended to honor the best in high school theatre from across the state. HISTORY BUDDIES
Brookside Intermediate 7th grade students traveled to Greene Elementary to teach 4th grade students about what they have learned so far in their Texas History class. This PK-12 service learning activity was a unique way for the younger students to learn about history while also allowing the older students to see the relevance in what they are learning through teaching it to others.

THE LAKE SHOP
Clear Lake High School DECA students held a ribbon cutting ceremony for their new and improved school store, dubbed The Lake Shop. This student-run store is located in the new portion of the high school, which is still undergoing a complete campus rebuild through November 2018. The Lake Shop is much more than just a place for students to shop for snacks or school supplies, it's an opportunity for the students running the store to boost their academic and life skills through real entrepreneurial experience.
U.S. COAST GUARD VISIT
Members of the United States Coast Guard visited Victory Lakes Intermediate to give a special presentation to students. The officers brought their K9 unit, a Coast Guard boat, and even allowed students to look inside their helicopter before taking off from the field.

CLEAR SPRINGS BARN BUDDIES
The Clear Springs High School Best Buddies Program hosted the inaugural Barn Buddies Show in conjunction with Clear Springs FFA members. This was an opportunity for the alternative academics (AA) students to work with and be around the livestock animals in a show environment. The peer buddies and FFA members assisted the AA students with showing goats, lambs or pigs during the show. Each student was awarded a blue ribbon and the "star showman" of each class of animals was awarded a trophy.
