Happy Holidays! We hope you are all enjoying the season.
You may have noticed on social media last month that we set a Giving Tuesday goal for ourselves. We asked our community for help in doubling the Annual Fund progress we had made so far this year. We're happy to report that two weeks after we issued the challenge we successfully exceeded our $12,000 goal. A big thank you to everyone who helped us reach this milestone!
While we're excited for this progress, we still need your help. Our overall Annual Fund goal for the 2016 - 2017 school year is $100,000. Every little bit counts as we continue to provide high-quality programming despite cuts to our funding. For every scholar, Blackstone Valley Prep now receives $526 less funding than a traditional public school. If you haven't already,we ask you to #GivePRIDE to a scholar with a donation to BVP today.
We also invite you to share your BVP PRIDE with your loved ones this holiday season by gifting BVP merchandise! We have jackets, mugs, and even cold weather gear on sale.

Last month our board, several members of our staff, friends, and members of our high school's scholar council gathered to commemorate BVP High School's new permanent location with a groundbreaking ceremony.
Edy Pineda, the High School Scholar President, addressed the crowd who gathered at the ceremony sharing what this new building means for him and his peers.
"
Every achievement, every smile, every tear, every moment my fellow classmates and I take PRIDE in will be represented when we graduate from this building in 2018. We have wanted a building like this to call home since many of us started at BVP in 5th grade.
The new location will be approximately 40,000 square feet and will include: 10 core classrooms, 2 science classrooms, art room, makerspace, music room, cafeteria, media center, gymnasium, administrative support spaces, field space to accommodate soccer, and requisite parking.
