An evening of surreal experimental theatre written by two iconic playwrights and staged by two of Muhlenberg's talented young directors.
Salome tells the horrifying tale of Salome, niece of the Roman ruler Herod Antipas. To please her uncle on his birthday, Salome dances the infamous Dance of the Seven Veils. When Herod drunkenly offers her any reward she chooses, she responds with a gruesome demand.

Self-taught from the age of five and growing up with a musical family, Christine wins crowds over wherever she goes with her musical innovation, heartfelt lyrics, and her guitar a mere extension of herself. She lives up to the moniker bestowed upon her by Dena Marchiony of the Philadelphia Songwriters Project, "the quintessential pop-rock goddess."

Adapted from Charles Dickens by William Sanders and Sharon Glassman, the time-honored Lehigh Valley tradition returns to the Civic stage for a 27th year. This timeless and magnificent tale of Ebenezer Scrooge and his redemption has allowed literally thousands of children and adults to share the magic of the brilliant Charles Dickens with their "fellow passengers" on the road of humanity. In the words of Tiny Tim, "God bless us, every one."

At the Movies: "Hacksaw Ridge"
is a horrific film directed by Mel Gibson about the bravery and sacrifice of those who fought to secure a cliff nicknamed "Hacksaw Ridge" on the South Pacific island of Okinawa during World War II. In the true story, Private First Class Desmond T. Doss (Andrew Garfield, who deserves an Oscar actor nomination) is an Army medic who never carried a gun but saved the lives of 75 soldiers during the Battle of Okinawa.

DiBussolo is on staff at the Fab Lab Luthier Program and, through the Masters Series, he is hosting guitarists from around the country. On Nov. 30, guitarist Howard Alden joins DiBussolo for an evening of guitar mastery featuring discussion and live music.

This week's topic will be Pennsylvanian author John Updike, who is considered to be one of the giants of U.S. 20th-century literature. Guest Dr. Jack DeBellis, professor emeritus at Lehigh University and a leading scholar on Updike, joins the program to tell us of Updike's life and literary pursuits. Dr. DeBellis is a key figure in the John Updike Society, which held its biannual conference in October.
