Welcome back and I hope everyone had a blessed Thanksgiving and a wonderful break. I had a lovely extended break as I attended a family wedding the weekend before. Being with family and surrounded by love is priceless. I give thanks to God, our Father, for all that I have been given. I thank the Choir, Mrs. Winters, and all our families who attended the Harbourside Tree Lighting celebrations on Saturday, November 19th. We received countless compliments for our choir's performance and behavior. Right before the break we also had a practice Code Red with Jupiter Police. Our practice went extremely well and the police department gave the faculty and students an A+ for protocols and practices. Each month we have one fire drill and throughout the year we practice both weather and emergency drills. All these practices are done for the safety of our children.
We ask that tomorrow, everyone check out our redesigned website. Mrs. Kleisley and I are constantly trying to make our technology easily accessible to our families. Our website should be the source of all information through one or two clicks. We are excited for the new design and beautiful visuals. Websites are forever changing and at All Saints we wish to keep up with trends. I would love feedback from our families so we can continue to improve communication to our families. Also regarding communication - this year we have put together a Family Directory. Parents had shared with us that a hardcopy of the Family Directory would be so useful. We do have the directory online, but having a little book to carry around is easy. It took a little longer to get the format organized at the printer this year, but we hope to get this directory out every year by the first week of October. We thank Quantum Realty for sponsoring the printing of the books. Please look for your copy going home in the youngest sibling's bookbag this week. In the case of two households, two books will be sent home.
It is hard to believe we have less than 4 weeks before Christmas Break. This week from Tuesday, November 29th to Thursday, December 1st, students will be allowed to visit our Santa Shop to buy small gives for family members. This is a Home and School event. More information will be going home through each homeroom teacher. Stay tuned for more information on days and times for your student's visit and check the website for a schedule. If you have some extra time to volunteer this week, please see volunteer opportunities below. Extra help with the younger children is definitely needed. We end this week with a Jeans for Scholarship Day on Friday. Help support our scholarship by wearing jeans and paying $2.
Families, please keep Tuesday, December 6th open for our Christmas performance. Over the past few years I have seen this program grow with our students' dedication and talent. It is truly a testimony to our school's mission and a celebration of the Christmas season. The students will begin intense practices this week with a 6:00 PM formal performance on Tuesday, December 6th. The after school band will begin the show and the school's full performance will begin. It is a lovely way to place our hearts in the true meaning of the season. This year we ask the dress rehearsal be for the students only to accommodate for the large student body in the gym.
Two fundraisers to expect for the month of December is the National Junior Honor Society Candy Cane Grams and Student Government Stocking Raffles. Students can buy and send candy canes to their classmates or teachers and students can buy chances at winning age appropriate stockings. Proceeds go to the specific club to help support their philanthropic endeavors.
