TWELVE-A-DAY GIFT IDEAS
BOOK SIGNINGS THIS WEEK
Unless otherwise indicated, author events usually begin with an informal reception at 5 pm, followed by the author's presentation at 5:30, with book signing both before and after the reading/talk.

Shot in Kodachrome with a Leica and deftly lit with then-new sodium vapor lights, Mississippian Langdon Clay photographed the cars he encountered while wandering the streets of New York City,
from 1974-1976. Very cool. The New Yorker recently featured the book, which you can read about here.

David Wharton, director of Documentary Studies at the University of Mississippi, reveals the rural South as a place, a land, a region, a culture, a "way of life" so heavily invested in religious belief that the spiritual is constantly made manifest in the ordinary.

Ed Croom, David Crews,
and Al Povall
Saturday, December 10th at 2pm

The Land of Rowan Oak by Ed Croom documents the natural world of William Faulkner's Rowan Oak estate. Read more here...

The Mississippi Book of Quotations by David Crews is a compilation of quotes and quips from all types of Mississippians.

A Time Remembered by Al Povall follows up Povall's Ole Miss Sports oral history with a collection of oral histories about student life at the University of Mississippi from 1945-1970.
