Raymond  Orta has been doing stand up comedy since he was 8 years old.. he's like one of those Asian kids with a guitar, but his medium is stand up comedy. Whether it's his stage presence, his timing, his spot on impressions , his out of this world sound effects,  Raymond  Orta is a versatile Comedian to say the least.. but to say he's funny is a monumental understatement.. funny doesn't begin to describe this high energy show that will leave you clutching your ribs, massaging your face, even slapping tables and spitting fluids out of your nose and mouth.. It's rumored that at one of his shows, he had a lady collapse and had to be taken out by ambulance and receive medical attention. Doctors later discovered that lack of oxygen from excessive laughter had caused her to pass out and lose her bodily function.. she was released, but the embarrassment of leaving a puddle of urine on the floor in sighted a lawsuit which is pending against  Raymond  Orta. Due to this, he now has people at his shows sign a waiver making him not responsible for anything that might happen because of his comedy, which can result in broken ribs, passing out, and even choking on an ice cube.
So sit back and enjoy one of the most incredible undiscovered talents in the country.. trust me when we say, This guy is going to be bigger than anyone can imagine.

Greg Proops first gained national attention as a wry yet theatrical improviser on the late-'90s smash Whose Line Is It Anyway? but he's avoided the family-friendly pitfalls of his former co-stars. A raconteur and standup with almost vaudevillian lounge-lizard sensibilities, Proops also fancies himself as something of a public wit, as evidenced by his fantastic podcast, the humbly titled Smartest Man in the World, which he spun off into The Smartest Book in the World and international tour. The ever-prolific Proops also spearheads the Greg Proops Film Club, where he alerts fellow cineastes of classic films available on iTunes.

This just in...some news should be fake. Luckily, savvy experts at Denver's own Bovine Metropolis Theater are stepping in to corner the market with their new, fully improvised show, "Fake Network News."
Performed in the style of Meet the Press, AC 360 and other cable news programs, FNN features interviews, recurring segments and round-table discussions between their fake news anchors and a 'virtual who's who' of counterfeit experts, pundits and commentators.
"The fakest of the fake. (@BovineMetro) Sad. So-called journalists make up all the facts. PATHETIC. Only I can do that. LOSERS."
~President Trump (note: this is a fake tweet, or IS it?)
While the Pundits might be fake, the issues are utterly real and provided by the audience. Gun control? Sure. Immigration? Why not. The ethics of pet squirrel fashion shows? Um, ok. The anchors, reporters and commentators at FNN are chomping at the bit to give you all the fake news you deserve. The FNN production staff is going rogue, unscripted and improvised. It's all fabricated on the spot, and in front of your lying eyes.

Thru Aug 25 | 8:00 pm | The Bovine Metropolis Theater
Apparate Over for a Night of Magic!

He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named has been destroyed, there surely is no evil left to threaten the Heirs of Hogwarts... or is there?
Experience a loving homage to the world of Harry Potter. With completely improvised story lines, this is a heartfelt send-up to the universe created by J.K. Rowling and is the only Harry Potter themed improv show in Denver. Imagine a love letter in the form of spoof, and that's what witches, wizards and muggles will be enjoying Friday Nights at 8:00 p.m. at the Bovine Metropolis Theater.
And just like a Bag of Bertie Bott's every flavored beans, "Anything can happen," says Gryffindor and Dramaturg, Kent Welborn. "In improv anything can happen, and then in the magical world of Harry Potter anything can happen double."
All the things you love about the Harry Potter universe will be displayed on stage: charms, Hogwarts houses, transfiguration, and magical creatures. Returning to Hogwarts has never been this funny. "Heirs of Hogwarts: An Improvised Adventure" is a loving fan-fiction parody of an entire year at Hogwarts.

The Ken Walker Sextet is a little like the full moon, except the KWS is more dependable and swings harder. The full moon arcs gracefully across the sky. It's nice, but does it make you snap your fingers? Walker and his band evoke (but don't demand) that response.
Ken Walker started playing upright bass when he was a student at Arkansas Tech University, where he received his bachelor of music education degree. He moved to Denver in late 1985 and in 1987 began a 12-year tenure as the house bassist at Denver's legendary jazz club El Chapultepec that ended in 1998. Today, he plays regularly at DazzleJazz and is the Rocky Mountain region's 1st-call jazz bassist. Walker has played with a veritable Who's Who of jazz artists including: Eddie Harris, Hal Galper, Tom Harrell, John Abercrombie, Randy Brecker, Nat Adderley, Jimmy Witherspoon, Carl Fontana, Slide Hampton, Clark Terry, Joe Pass, Herb Ellis, Freddie Hubbard, Lew Soloff, Clifford Jordan, James Moody, Javon Jackson, Ray Bryant, Roy Hargrove, and many more. He has also performed at the Telluride, Jazz Aspen Snowmass and other festivals throughout the Western States, and he is currently on the faculty at the Lamont School of Music, where he teaches jazz bass to all jazz and commercial bass majors, coaching the Trad, Hard Bop and Latin Combos in addition to his studio.
