Adopt a Tree Well

The Recreation & Parks Department is excited about the new Downtown beautification program "Adopt a Tree Well ".  his program, brought to the community by the Downtown Economic Development Fund Council, allows individuals, organizations or businesses to "adopt" a tree well for a contribution of $199.00.
Simply complete the  tree well form  and submit along with the $199.00 sponsorship fee to the Recreation Office at the Community Center, 95 Broadway.  Please make checks payable to: Village of Ossining

The format is a question and answer forum from the moderator, not a debate.  Candidates will have the opportunity to introduce themselves to the Ossining community and give a brief statement of qualities and qualifications that would make them the best candidate for the office.

Westchester Collaborative Theater (WCT) continues its Jazz Masters music series  Saturday, October 14th with  pop legend Marlene Verplanck of whom the New York Times wrote "She may be the most   accomplished   interpreter of popular material performing today."  Marlene will perform 2 sets at 7:30 and 9:00pm.  Tickets are $20,  at WCT's new home 23 Water Street - Ossining.  More information please visit WCT website.
 
The Ossining Arts Council  is proud to host the first ever Ossining  Open Studio Tours on October 14 . The purpose of the Tour is to showcase the amazing amount of talent we have in Ossining. At each Studio, artists will have on view examples of their work and give attendees an insight into their creative process. visit their website for more details.

CONGRATULATIONS to Cedar Manor Nursing & Rehabilitation Center staff they raised more than $1,000 for the 2017 Walk to End Alzheimer's Disease. The fundraiser, held at SUNY Purchase on Sunday, September 24, attracted approximately 1,600 supporters. Cedar Manor, located in Ossining, participates annually to help raise awareness and find a cure for this debilitating illness

Club Z! In-Home Tutoring Services is offering a free online diagnostic ACT or SAT to all Ossining and Croton high school students. Upon completion of the diagnostic test students will be given a comprehensive score assessment, pinpointing areas of strength and weakness. Join Ossining PBA for a road & trail 5k, Saturday, October 14th @Cedar Lane Park.  All proceeds to benefit the Hope for Heroes foundation. Register online at bit.ly/ossiningpba5k. $30 per runner, $110 for a team of 4. Open to all agas and skill levels. Free t-shirts for participants, and the first 100 to sign up get a free custom water bottle. Onsite registration opens at 7:45am, race starts at 9:00am.  It's 3.2 miles of trails and roads beginning and ending in Cedar Lane Park.

Classes are enrolling for the Fall 2017 at Theater O. Classes in all things theater for ages 3+ - from acting to playwriting, improv to design, musical theater to directing, and more!
