Pet Vaccination Day - The City of Westland is hosting a special pet vaccination day on  Saturday, October 14 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Wayne Ford Civic League, located at 1661 N. Wayne Rd.  The first 250 dogs will receive vaccinations for only $10 ($89 value).  Proof of Westland residency will be required.  This event is available for dogs only.  Westland Veterans will proper I.D. will receive the vaccination services free of charge.  


Scheduled Upcoming Civic Meetings - Residents are invited to attend the upcoming City meetings.  Below is a list of the meetings with their date, time and location:

City Council  
  • The regular meeting of the City Council will take place on Monday, October 16 at 7:00 p.m. at Westland City Hall, located at 36300 Warren Rd.
Zoning Board of Appeals
  • The ZBA will meet on Wednesday, October 18 at 5:30 p.m. at Westland City Hall, located at 36300 Warren Rd.

Inspire Theatre Presents, "It Happened One Fright" -  Get into the Halloween spirit with Inspire Theatre's newest feature, "It Happened One Fright."  The show begins on Friday, October 20 and Saturday, October 21 at 7:30 p.m. with a special 3:00 p.m. showing on Sunday, October 22.  The show takes place at the Westland Center for the Arts, located at 33455 Warren Rd.  For more information or to purchase tickets, visit http://inspiretheatre.com/index_files/Page266.htm

SAVE THE DATE - Wesltand's HALLoween Celebration - Join us on Wednesday, October 25 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. for the City of Westland's HALLoween Celebration at City Hall, located at 36300 Warren Rd.  The event will include trick or treating, arts and crafts, donuts and cider and a Halloween movie!  This is a free event for children 12 and under and attendees are encouraged to come in costume!
