August  2017
Happy August everyone!
2017 is cruising by, I can't believe how quickly the months pass us by. Hopefully you all are getting out in the garden, going on summer adventures and making lasting memories with your friends and family.

This past month, In Harmony treated the employees to a night at the ball game. We had a BBQ and watched the AquaSox with our families. It was such a nice summer evening sharing good times with our work families. Thanks Mark and Ladd for taking us out to the ball game!

We hope you have been watering your plants, even your large evergreen trees need occasional deep watering during these dry months. If you haven't yet, please go water them!  Having to remove a dead tree or redo your landscape because it dies during the heat wave is more expensive than a water bill during the summer.
Lucky us, we only need to water during the summer!

Lawn and Tree Care Services
This has been another long hot summer. Chances are high that you let the lawn go dormant. This is why we are applying corn gluten to the lawns of our lawn care clients. Corn gluten, when used properly, can bring back a drought stressed lawn quickly. It is a non-GMO, completely organic product that will break down and pump up a brown lawn. It seems magical!

Our tree care clients are getting sea kelp soil drenching applications right now. We are also looking for insect activity and stressed plants. Our technicians have been doing deep root feedings to plants that are particularly stressed from drought, also taking care of plants with lacebug activity. Lacebugs loves rhodies when they are weakened by drought. If you have rhodies or hydrangeas with droopy leaves, that is your sign to turn on the water! If your plants send out the SOS with droopy leaves, make sure to pay attention!

We will begin fall aeration & overseed services once the rain begins to fall, and the days get shorter and cooler. If you had spring aeration & overseed services already this year and would like to be added to the fall schedule, please let us know. Most lawns are stressed from the summer months & it doesn't hurt to have another service to prep the lawn for winter rainstorms.
Special Services
We have been busy with summer pruning & mulching.
Thank you to all our valued clients that trusted their special projects to us this season.
We will begin scheduling out winter pruning in the next couple of months.

New Landscape Design and Install
Vince, Gui and Mark are happy to help make the planning process flow easily to your new dreamy outdoor living space. Our team creates sophisticated and functional landscapes that reflect our clients' personality, needs and concern for the environment, including hardscapes, plantings, water features and more.

If you are ready to change your property, we are ready to help.

Client Feedback

"Great Job. We will hire you folks again."-M.R.

"The yard looks great and refreshed. Thank you for sending the two men who worked so hard to complete the project.
Allen was willing to share suggestions about watering & other ideas for the  yard. This has been a hard summer with the lack of moisture for the plants!" - R.T.

One final note...

Ladd is in Portland this week. He is doing a talk on "Successful sustainable landscape practices that balance environmental needs & customer expectations." We wish him luck on the seminar. If you are in the area, you should go check out the Farwest Show.
