HONORING OUR VETERANS
Clear Creek ISD honored those who serve, or have served, our country through military service during football games at both Challenger Columbia Stadium and Veterans Memorial Stadium. At the Salute to Military Service game at Challenger Columbia, about 60 wounded and recovering soldiers were honored on the field with the help from the Children of Fallen Soldiers Relief Fund. Halftime featured a patriotic arrangement performed by the   Clear Lake High School   and   Clear Springs High School  bands, a special video tribute to several CCISD staff members who have served, as well as a spotlight on the District's JROTC instructors. An All-Veteran Parachute Team landed at the 50-yard line to close out the military salute.

Schools across Clear Creek ISD also held various celebrations last week to show their appreciation for our veterans. Staff and family members were honored during assemblies as students learned about the history and sacrifices that these individuals made for our country.
