Z-Man Award

      Still looking for nominations for the 2017 "Z-Man" Award....please submit your nomination soon.  As of this date we do not have any nominations for this prestigious award.  Please take a few moments to nominate a co-worker, program, allied agency member, etc.

      Officer Mark Y. Zylawy, "Z-Man", a highly regarded Portland, Oregon police officer, died January 27, 2008 in a  tragic and untimely accident at the age of 40. He worked as a district officer in Northeast Portland for 17 years with passion, dedication and enthusiasm throughout his career.  For more information about Mark and this annual award go to www.alertinternational.com under the "About" button on the Main Menu bar is additional information regarding how to nominate someone.

      We will be accepting 2017 Z-Man Award nominees until September 10, 2017.  So if you work with someone, know someone or have heard that a particular person has met the requirements to be considered a recipient of this most prestigious award please go to the above website or click here and complete the nomination process.

        The  Kansas City Marriott Country Club Plaza, Kansas City, Missouri is the site of this year's Training Symposium/Conference. There are only a couple of rooms left at the ALERT International rate at the  Kansas City Marriott Country Club Plaza.    Once the current block of rooms are gone ALERT will not be able to reserve any additional rooms. Cabral Scholarship Raffle

    As you are packing for the Training Symposium/Conference don't forget to pack items for the Cabral Scholarship Raffle that will take place at Thursday Night's Banquet event.  This raffle is solely for the purpose of funding our scholarships each year.  This has always been a special event to conclude each year's Training Symposium.  Please ensure you bring an item...or two...or even three to help support this wonderful event.

      If you are interested in hosting the 2018 ALERT International Training Symposium/ Conference let us know.  Send a request (email) to President Liebno expressing your desire to be considered as a host site for next year's conference.

A.L.E.R.T.
