The Network is identifying prospective Board members.
The NJHSA Nominating Committee is excited to announce the launch of the nominating process to identify potential candidates for the inaugural Board of Directors of the Network of Jewish Human Service Agencies (NJHSA). We are seeking to establish a strategic board which will consist of thought leaders, advocates, funders, and other influential individuals who care deeply about working together to advance the Jewish human service sector.  Terms will begin in May 2018 and service may be up to three years.

Our Network of Jewish Human Service Agencies is only as strong as the bonds of its Members. Over the past two years we have worked diligently to establish a new organization, one that will be both proactive and responsive, understanding and guiding our member agencies and the broader Jewish human service sector. We are working toward our goals of:
  • Establishing a Center for Innovation and Research,
  • Implementing cost saving efficiencies for our member agencies, and
  • Providing thought leadership and advocacy for the diverse and complex needs of the communities we serve.
The guiding force behind this effort is a Board of Directors committed to bringing greater support to members and the broader community each year. We are seeking nominations for passionate leaders to join our board. Please take a moment to consider nominating someone who would be an asset to NJHSA as we move forward with our critical work.

We are looking for board members who can bring their experience to influence and to guide our work, with experience in areas including:
    • innovation,
    • human services,
    • healthcare,
    • workforce development,
    • disabilities,
    • philanthropy,
    • business,
    • fund development,
    • leadership development and
    • organizational capacity.
We welcome your suggestions of individuals who may be professionals or lay leaders from our agencies, leaders from academic institutions, other professional organizations, foundations, corporations and those who have a passion for the life-saving work of our sector.

A list of board responsibilities and a nomination form are available. Completed nomination forms should be submitted via the link above no later than October 15, 2017. Please contact Danielle Hartman, Chair, NJHSA Nominating Committee or Reuben Rotman, NJHSA President & CEO, should you have any questions or wish to discuss any potential recommendations.

Thank you for your active partnership in helping to build and strengthen our Network.
Sincerely,

Danielle Hartman, Chair, NJHSA Nominating Committee
