Fall 2016 Newsletter -  Issue #46

It has been an eventful few months, and I'm excited to share some of it with you in this newsletter.

Conference season is just winding down and I had the opportunity to attend three great events - one in September, one in October, and one in November.

In September, I was honored to be the moderator for "The Tick Factor" hosted by Invintro in Amsterdam, and it was a great event with several many speakers.

In October, I attended the "CIRS - Cutting Edge In Diagnosis and Treatment" event in Irvine, CA.  This event was hosted by SurvivingMold.com and shared the latest on Chronic Inflammatory Response Syndrome.  My notes from both of these events can be found below.

In November, I attended my 11th (wow!) ILADS conference in Philadelphia, PA.  It is great to see how this event continues to grow.  While I am still working on notes from this event, I will post them in the next few weeks.

There is so much happening in the world of treating chronic illness that I continue to become more and more excited about the future.

Be  optimistic....and be hopeful!

Sunlighten Blogcast
I just recently started making videos for the site.  My first was an interview with Andrea Duffy from Sunlighten where we talk in detail about sauna therapy and answer many of the questions that I have been asked and had myself about this technology.

My Sunlighten sauna is 8 years old now and still works as good as the day I got it.  I've been using it a couple of times a week and appreciate having it in my arsenal.

SPECIAL OFFER: This is the time of year when Sunlighten has specials on their products - so don't miss them. Additionally, they are offering my readers a free jar of PURE SWEAT with purchase.  PURE SWEAT is a sweat-amplifying cream that helps you sweat more.  I use it myself and have been impressed with how much more I sweat when using it.  Call to ensure you take advantage of the PURE SWEAT offer.

"The Tick Factor"
I had the great privilege to attend "The Tick Factor" in Amsterdam, The Netherlands on September 17-18, 2016.

Not only did I get to attend, but I was truly honored to be the moderator of the event.  An informative and fun time was had by all.

There were over 150 people attending the event and helping to educate practitioners in Europe about how to approach the treatment of Lyme disease.

It was a powerful event hosted by Helen Blok and her husband Andre from Invintro, and what a job they did!  It was so well-organized and beautifully executed. Kudos to Helen and Andre!

IonCleanse by AMD Blogcast
I've used ionic detox foot baths in the past, but got reinvigorated about this technology after AutismOne last year and then hearing so many positive stories from the autism community in terms of how it was helping their children improve.

A Major Difference is the creator of the IonCleanse and they have done research on their product which also grabbed my attention.  Beyond that, several practitioners that I have followed over the years use IonCleanse with their patients.

There are so many questions about how these work, how to use them, what the water color means, etc., that I decided to do a blogcast with Tyler Dahm and get the answers from an expert.  I hope you enjoy listening to our recent conversation.

I personally use the IonCleanse twice a week and will continue to for the long haul.  In today's world, anything I can do that supports detoxification is something that grabs my attention.

CIRS - Cutting Edge In Diagnosis And Treatment Conference
I attended SurvivingMold's "CIRS - Cutting Edge in Diagnosis and Treatment" conference October 14-16, 2016 in Irvine, CA.

I first encountered Dr. Shoemaker's work in 2005 and it led me to the realization that mold was a major part of my ongoing health challenges.

I have followed his work since that time, and this conference was an opportunity to hear the latest in the treatment of those impacted by water-damaged buildings.

Do not miss the potential for this issue to be a major player in your illness and in your recovery.  I see it time and time again; people don't explore this topic and it often keeps them from moving their health forward.

Integrative Approaches to Chronic Infections Conference - April 2017
The Forum for Integrative Medicine is hosting a conference in San Francisco, CA April 27-29, 2017.

This is the 2nd annual TFIM event following the San Diego event in March of this year which was a huge success.

Speakers include Ann Corson, Kristine Gedroic, Steve Fry, Neil Nathan, Dave Ou, Christine Schaffner, Amy Derksen, and several more great practitioners.

I will be there, and I hope you will be too.

Raising the Bar - Freshly and Thrive Market
I am always looking for ways to improve my health.  Eating out is one of the things I realized I was doing too much and wasn't good for me.

I am not a great cook and often don't have the time so I wanted to find a food delivery service that I felt was high quality and that tasted good.  Fortunately, I found Freshly and have used them for several months now.  Even better, 100% of what they have is gluten-free.

Check out Freshly and get 4 free meals for the price of shipping.

Next, I found Thrive Market which has loads of healthy food options at great prices.  I've had several orders from them recently and been very pleased.  They often have specials too like a free jar of almond butter or similar.  To get 15% off your order, visit Thrive Market.

Yum!  Enjoy...
Recent Book Releases
There have been three great books that have come out in the past couple of months that I am working my way through and have found to be very informative.

These are:

Coupon code "newhope" gives you $10 off

I'm fortunate to have been interviewed for this book.

A New Look at Supreme Nutrition
As many of you know, one of my favorite supplement companies is Supreme Nutrition.  Their products are high quality and very reasonably priced.

They recently updated their web site to make online ordering much easier.

One of the more popular is Takesumi Supreme which is a carbonized bamboo binder.

I'm also a big fan personally of Morinda Supreme and Golden Thread Supreme.  It's difficult to pick my favorites as they have so many products that I like and have used over the years.

If you aren't familiar with Supreme Nutrition, you may want to check them out.
