FACILITIES MASTER PLAN (FMP)

District staff, parents, Trustees, community leaders, and even students have worked together with LPA Architects, Inc. to create a detailed Facilities Master Plan (FMP).  The District's newly developed FMP identifies a vision for the next 10 to 15 years and provides a road map to coordinate short and long-range goals for our school buildings.

As we move into the holiday season, a season of thanks, we would like to take a moment to reflect upon many of the things we are grateful for in Fountain Valley School District!

First, we are extremely thankful for the amazing students who walk into our classrooms everyday. They are some of the best and brightest, and inspire us all with their abundance of curiosity. Second, we are exceptionally grateful to the extraordinary teachers, support staff and administrators who show up each day to serve our students at the highest levels!  Third, we have remarkable parents and PTA/O groups that support our schools in so many ways, both in and out of the classroom.  Fourth, we are privileged to work for a Board of Trustees that continues to provide a vision with great clarity around providing the best educational experience anywhere. Lastly, we are honored to be part of a community that places such a high priority on its greatest resource, our children!  This was no more evident than the recent approval of Measure O, our local bond initiative that passed on November 8th with over 63% support.

As always, thank you for everything you do to support teaching and learning in our District.  We sincerely hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving Break with family and friends.

Kindly,

Mark Johnson, Ed.D.
Superintendent

HIGHLIGHT: Measure O Passes - Thank You!
On behalf of the Board of Trustees, our students, teachers, support staff and administrators, we extend a most heartfelt thank you to our amazing community for their support in the passing of Measure O! We are touched by your dedication to our students and thrilled to be a part of a community that supports their continued excellence.

As we move forward, we will be providing regular communication updates to ensure that all stakeholders are informed of our progress.
SPOTLIGHT: Fulton, Masuda and Talbert Take to the Field

We want to commend all three middle schools for a job well done at this week's Annual Soccer Tournament!  The players, cheer squads, band members, coaches, activities directors, support staff, administrators and parents put on a phenomenal event.  And with school connectedness being a focus area for us this year, we are proud to be able to offer our students these unique experiences.   A big thank you goes out to everyone who made this day so special!
