The Islamic Society of North America has confirmed that Hajj authorities in Makkah have announced the start of Hajj this year to be on Wednesday, August 23, 2017, and Eidul Adha on Friday, September 1, 2017.
Eid Prayers will be held at FVAMC (35 Harris Road, Avon) at 7:00am (Takbeer starting at 6:00) and 10:00 am (Takbeer starting at 9).
The first ten days of Dhul-Hijjah (8/23 – 9/1) are regarded as the most virtuous days of the year and we are reminded to spend them in extra worship and good works. Fasting is highly recommended, especially on the day of Arafah (Thursday, 8/31). May Allah SWT accept your deeds.
