WORSHIP
Saturday at 5:00 PM
Sunday at 9:00 & 10:45 AM
Our annual giving theme, “All Hearts Open,” is based on the Collect for Purity, which begins  “Almighty God, to you all hearts are open, all desires known, and from you no secrets are hid …” . This ministry invites people deeply into this rich prayer and into how our hearts are open to God, to ourselves, and to others.

As we open our hearts, we hear God’s voice from faithful and talented voices throughout the Episcopal Church, including some special guest preachers.

  • Sunday, October 15, The Rev. Canon Pat Wingo, Canon to the Ordinary (Bishop), Diocese of Virginia
  • Sunday, October 22, The Rev. Shirley Smith Graham, Rector
Service Saturday for All Ages
Looking for an opportunity to get your family involved in helping our community? Come and join us for a morning of service on Saturday, October 14 from 9:00 AM-12 PM at Redd Elementary School as we join forces with ' Building a Better RPS .' We'll spend our time doing minor landscaping (mulching, clearing debris, trimming hedges, weeding), painting and sealing outside classroom furniture, and repainting the U.S. map on the playground.

Part of the mission of Redd Elementary is to cultivate the whole child to become a good steward through strong community partnerships. Come, help take care of our community and make a difference in the lives of children.

Men's Breakfast & Hike to Fortunes Cove

The Men's Breakfast is a time to gather for an extraordinary breakfast, fellowship and a discussion of a topic related to being a Christian man in today's world. These men are husbands, fathers, colleagues, neighbors, friends; all seeking to support each other and explore their faith, together. We will meet on Saturday, October 21 at 8:00 AM. This fall, we are enjoying a speaker series on Nurturing Spiritual Formation, one of the church’s strategic pillars, and we welcome Tom Valiquett as this month's guest speaker.

After the breakfast, all our welcome to join a small group for a hike at Fortunes Cove, which will have nice mountain views and plenty of color, without the crowds of Skyline Drive. It is about a 90 minute drive and about 5 miles of moderate hiking. Meet in the parking lot to leave around 9:30 AM. After the hike, we hope to visit a local establishment, then will head back to be home around 5 or 6 PM.
The Christmas Pageant is open to everyone!
All children and youth (and adult volunteers!) are invited to join us on a delightful journey to the manger this Advent season. This fun musical pageant tells the Christmas Story from the unique perspective of the camels who traveled to see the baby Jesus.

Auditions for solos and speaking parts will be on October 14 and 15 (choose one) and rehearsals start Wednesday, October 18.  If your child is interested in participating, please click EVENTS in  Realm  and scroll down to October 18 to "Register for Pageant Rehearsals."   Questions? Please  contact  Laura McNally.
