Turkey Bowl Sunday
We invite you to join us for our annual Youth vs Adults Turkey Bowl on Sunday, November 20. Every year, we meet at a local park for a picnic and flag football. This year, we'll also offer some other games, like volleyball. Even if you don't want to play, join us for the food and fun and cheer on the teams.
Pastor's Message

Dear Friends in Faith,

I have always liked the words of Meister Eckhart, a German priest and mystic of the Middle Ages who wrote, “If the only prayer you said was thank you, that would be enough.” What a fitting prayer for this week as we approach our national day of Thanksgiving.

I have often found that to be thankful I need to just stop and pause. When I push the busy agenda of my day out of my head long enough to notice what I have and where I have been aware of God then I’m likely to be more thankful. It’s hard to be grateful when we’re rushing through life...

Memorial Service of Light
On Sunday, November 20, at 6 pm in the chapel, we invite you to our annual Memorial Service of Light. While it's too late to reserve a candle, we invite you to join us at this service of healing that provides comfort to those struggling during the holidays.
Sunday Worship
We welcome you to worship with us at 8, 9:30 or 11:15 am. Senior Pastor Dave Summers shares a message of gratitude as we prepare for Thanksgiving next week.

If you are looking for ways to share your blessings with others, we invite you to pick up a Sidewalk Sunday bag and fill it for a child served by the Desert Southwest Conference's Sidewalk Sunday program. Bags are due back Sunday, Nov. 27.
Church-wide Advent Study
Several small groups meet on campus every week to study Sent: Delivering the Gift of Hope at Christmas, by Jorge Acevedo with Jacob Armstrong, Rachel Bilups, Justin LaRosa and Lanecia Rouse. The book is small, but paired with the DVD, it leads to big discussions with others. Pick up a book for $10 on Sunday and see where you can plug in.

Christmas Raku Workshop
Register for a Christmas Ornament Raku Workshop by November 27 with Musette Young, Colorado artist and raku expert. The workshop will be 9 am-12 noon, Saturday, December 3. Cost: $20; limited registration. Glaze a colorful ceramic ornament and watching it emerge from fire. Email [email protected] to register. Serendipities will be open December 3rd too so you can do some early Christmas shopping and support missions at the same time.

Christmas Concert: Sing Noel
You're invited to join us for the PVUMC Christmas Concert: Sing Noel at 6 pm, Sunday, December 4. Enjoy Christmas music performed by PVUMC's children, youth and adult choirs, with handbells and instrumental music. Paradise Winds will be featured as well. As dessert reception follows in the Fellowship Center.
