Fall Membership Meeting Registration Deadline Extended Until 3:00pm Today!

The 2017 Colorado PGA Fall Membership Meeting will be held on Monday, October 16, 2017, at Heritage Eagle Bend Golf and Country Club. The deadline to register has been extended until Thursday, October 12, 2017, at 3:00 pm. Members will earn 4 MSR points for attending the meeting and education session.

PGA of America Secretary Jim Richerson, PGA, and Clayton Cole, PGA, former Head Professional at Cherry Hills Country Club, will highlight the Fall Membership Meeting. Richerson will provide a PGA of America update as part of a panel discussion while Cole will be available for a fireside chat.

The golf tournament is full and the waiting list has two teams as of Wednesday afternoon.

Join This Year's Award Winners on Oct. 27 at Colorado Golf Club

The 2017 Colorado Section Award Winners represent an exceptional group of PGA Professionals. Join them at the Awards Banquet to honor their service to the Section and to the game of golf. 

The Gala is being held on Friday, October 27, at Colorado Golf Club in Parker. Cocktails begin at 5:30 p.m. followed by dinner. The program will start at 7:30 p.m.

Pro-Assistant Championship Rescheduled at Colorado Golf Club

Due to inclement weather on Monday, Sept. 25, the Pro-Assistant Championship scheduled at the Hiwan Golf Club has been rescheduled for Monday, October 30, 2017, at Colorado Golf Club. 

Due to the time of year, the HARD DEADLINE to register for the event is Friday, October 20, 2017.

Pro-Scratch Cancelled Due to Inclement Weather

Unfortunately, the weather this past Monday was not conducive to playing golf. The Pro-Scratch Championship presented by the Colorado Chevy Dealers was cancelled on Monday, Oct. 9. All entry fees will be fully refunded.

A Junior Golf Season to Remember

It was the year of the "Bryant Slam"; that a Coloradan finally won the AJGA Hale Irwin Colorado Junior; that a Coloradan qualified for the Drive Chip & Putt finals at Augusta National; that two children of Colorado PGA professionals won Colorado Junior PGA titles -- and JGAC Player of the Year honors to boot; that a Coloradan placed fourth at Pebble Beach while teaming with a PGA Tour Champions player; and that a boy and a girl won every JGAC major in which they competed -- along with state high school titles.

Bryant / Schalk Junior Players of the Year

The 2017 Player of the Year choices for the Junior Golf Alliance of Colorado were all but set in stone going into last weekend's final major of the season.

But as if to put an exclamation point on their Player of the Year honors, Davis Bryant of Aurora and Hailey Schalk of Erie won the JGAC Tour Championship at Cherry Hills Country Club, leaving absolutely no doubt.

PGA of America Hires National and Regional League Managers  Across the Country to Continue Growing PGA Jr. League

The PGA of America has announced the hiring of two National League Managers (NLMs) and 12 Regional League Managers (RLMs) to build upon the explosive growth of PGA Jr. League, a team-oriented approach to youth golf.

"We're happy to have one of our own Colorado PGA Professionals join the PGA of America team," noted Colorado PGA Executive Director. "We look forward to working with Anthony as I am sure he will be a great help in expanding on the success we've already established with PGA Junior League here in Colorado. The Colorado PGA staff will continue to host and administer the program with Anthony's support."

Scholarships Awarded to 183 Students for 2017-18 School Year

The PGA of America's Financial Assistance Fund Scholarship Program has awarded scholarships to 183 students totaling $411,000 for the 2017-18 school year.
 
Founded in 1986, the PGA Financial Assistance Fund Scholarship Program has awarded more than $6.5 million to 3247 students.

PGA TOUR Superstore Signs Lease for Second Store

PGA TOUR Superstore  this week announced its expansion in the Orlando-region with the opening of a second store in early to mid-2018. The store will be adjacent to the Altamonte Mall and will serve North Orlando and Seminole County. With a successful interactive retail model, PGA TOUR Superstore continues to grow in golf-centric markets.
