WLACC Welcomes New Members

Schwanke Museum has bundled up to add Furniture Plus Decor and More to their membership. Furniture Plus has a wide variety of furniture and decor to fit any design style or budget.


Our newest member is Minnesota Lands and Homes Real Estate. With a 
main  office located in Redwood Falls, MN Lands and Homes has expanded to include an office in Spicer as well. Realtor Tina Giernet will be working at the Spicer location. They  provide expertise in home buying and selling, appraisals, as well as helping people who are looking for MN land for sale. Click their link above for more info.

Upcoming neXt Events

RSVP for Thursday's Educational and the Annual neXt Golf Tournament.
The educational is Leading Change, located at the Willmar Conference Center, from 3:30-5:30. Toby Spanier from the U of M Extension will be talking about adapting to change and understanding your own reactions to change.
Cost: $30 or free with Ed Pass

The Annual Golf Event is next Friday, August 25th at Eagle Creek with a shotgun start at 3:15 pm. There will be prizes and games, plus happy hour at The Oaks afterwards.
The cost is $10 if you are a course member or $30 if you are not. (You will pay Eagle Creek directly)

Willmar School Board Special Election

A special Willmar School Board Election will be held on August 22nd to fill the spot that had been occupied by Jared Anez, who died unexpectedly in March. Katherine McGill has recently withdrawn from the election for personal reasons. The remaining candidates are Mary Amon, a Willmar physician, and Monica Villars, a recently retired teacher.

All eligible voters in the school district may vote (you may register at the polling place the day of). There will be only one location: Willmar Education and Arts Center, 611 5th St. SW, open from 7:00am-8:00pm on August 22nd. - West Central Tribune
