"Inspiring students to love God, their Catholic faith and learning."
Incoming Kindergarten Students 2018-19
Important: We are having an information meeting on Thursday, October 19th in the school cafeteria beginning at 6:00 p.m. Please enter through the glass doors in the back of the school cafeteria; off the lower playground and up the stairs. You will have the opportunity to meet the teachers, administrators, and fellow parents, and gain a better understanding about our kindergarten program here at St. Peter. We ask that you do bring your child/ren to the parent meeting to visit the classrooms.
We have also mailed letters home with additional information regarding the meeting. We look forward to sharing the St. Peter School experience with you.
Reminders from Mr. Veit
Uniform Orders:
The manufacturer of the sweatshirts has discontinued light blue and white. Rather than have our distributor seek out another manufacturer, we will refund any current orders for these items and will no longer order them. We will sell the ones we have left so they will remain on the order form but only in the in-stock sizes, so St. Peter sweatshirts will only be available to order in NAVY.
November 3rd is the next deadline for ordering      out-of-stock uniform items or Spirit wear.
Volleyball Spirit Night:
Come and support our 8th grade volleyball girls as they play their last home game at SPS on Thursday, October 12 in MLG. 8th grade JV plays at 6:00pm, 8th grade Varsity play at 7:00pm, and 7th grade Varsity plays at 8:00pm. Anyone in SPIRIT WEAR gets in FREE!
Dress Code:
Even on dress down days:
Shoes must have a closed heel and toe and be suitable for outdoor play.
A la Carte Lunch Charges Update
Any students who purchase a la carte (extra food at lunch) is charged the $1.00 for an entrée, 50 cents for vegetable, 30 cents for milk. The additional bill for this is either on your B lunch invoice, or if A lunch option, it will now be billed quarterly and sent home with your youngest student. The next A lunch billing for a la carte will be sent home Friday, December 1st . Please feel free to call Kelley with any questions.
Second Grade Parents
Second Grade is when many children are about 8 years old- what the church recognizes as the "age of reason". Therefore, without delay, we welcome young Catholics to the Table of the Lord, the Eucharist. That means it's time for their First Communion.

The second mandatory meeting regarding the Sacrament of Eucharist will be Wednesday, January 24 at 7:00 p.m., hopefully in the Selinger cafeteria.

I look forward to these meetings,
Rev. Charles Pardee

The Anne Marie Project coalition and Crossroads recovery program have joined forces this year for Red Ribbon week here at St. Peter school.
Nick Pefanis with Crossroads Program will be speaking Tuesday, October 24th to the 7th and 8th grade classes.  Crossroads counseling program is an enthusiastic sobriety program for young people and their families.  Nick has firsthand experience as a young boy who started drinking and smoking marijuana as a teen. Nick, with the help of Crossroads, has become a successful counselor helping the youth of mid Missouri recover from the beginning stages of addiction. Our youth today are searching for ways to cope with their anxiety and stress. Hearing Nick's story will be very beneficial for them.
