For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you.
We continually ask God to fill you with the knowledge of His will through all the wisdom
and understanding that the Spirit gives,
so that you may live a life worthy
of the Lord and please him in every way...

Christmas Cash Fund Open for Donation
The Christmas Cash Fund is the Parent-Teacher Fellowship's Christmas gift program. We wish to honor all of our Prince Avenue Christian School faculty and staff with a special Christmas bonus donated by our families.

We are asking you to give generously to the Christmas Cash Fund in lieu of individual or class gifts. By combining your gifts, we are able to provide a well-deserved financial bonus to all the people who so graciously serve our children throughout the year.

Our homeroom moms and grade representatives will not be asking for you to contribute to class gifts,  Instead, they will encourage you to give to the Christmas Cash Fund so we can provide a substantial gift to each of our faculty and staff.

A list of families who donate to the Christmas Cash Fund will be presented with each bonus gift.

The deadline for giving is Friday, December 2.  You can donate online using the button above, or you may send cash or a check to the school front office.  (Please make checks payable to PACS PTF and write Christmas Cash Fund on the memo line.)

Prince Avenue Christian's lower and middle school students  will be participating in the Operation Christmas Child ministry this year. This is a special opportunity to bless children around the world by taking the time to fill a shoe box with presents, school supplies, and hygiene products.

The deadline to have the shoes boxes turned in will be Friday, November 18th. You can pick a shoe box up from the middle/lower school or front office. You may also click on the attached link to find more information about Operation Christmas Child.

High School Students Ministry:
Food Drive
The PACS High School Beta Club is hosting a canned and non perishable food drive to help support local food banks during one of their busiest times of the year and to give back to the community that invests so much in us.

This year's drive will be a high school grade level competition which will run for two weeks through Monday, November 14th. Students will bring in canned goods to their class sponsor, and the food will be weighed. The grade level with the most weight will receive a prize.

Lower and middle school families are welcome to help support as well and can bring donations to Mrs. Caylor's classroom. If you have any questions, please email mcaylor@princeave.org

Lunch & Learn

On Friday, November 11th, Chad & Laura Smith visited Prince to speak to a group of high school students during the monthly Lunch & Learn program. Mr. Smith is a Delta Air Lines pilot who started flying in 1988 and his wife Laura, an American Airlines pilot started flying in 1999.

During their presentation the Smiths discussed the types of aircraft they fly, who can be a professional pilot, and how to become a pilot. Mr. Smith explained there are two paths to being a pilot. The first through the military and the second as a civilian. Both Mr. & Mrs. Smith went the civilian path.

With a combined 56 years of flying experience between the two, the Smiths were able to provide firsthand experience of the pros and cons of the civilian path. They noted that the civilian path is not as structured and explained that there are less networking opportunities in the industry starting out. In closing, they told students about Falcon Aviation Academy in Newnan, Georgia where students can begin their pilot training.

Chaplain's Corner

PACS Parents,

In Chapel this week, we began a conversation about grace…about it being so much more than a lyric in our songs, something so much more than something we say before we eat.

The following are some questions that might be good to generate conversation within your family about grace…not only it’s meaning, but also its application.

Read Mark 10:46-52

  • Grace is the undeserved favor of God.
  • “What do you think a typical day was like for Bartimaeus before he encountered Jesus?”
  • “Why do you think that Bartimaeus cry out to Jesus?”
  • “What does it say about Jesus that despite the crowds and noise, He specifically asked for Bartimaeus to be brought to Him?”
  • “If the answer was obvious and apparent to everyone there, why do you think Jesus asked Bartimaeus, ‘What do you want Me to do for you?’”
  • “In Chapel, the statement was made, ‘At our core, every one of our greatest needs is to be made right with God.’ Do you agree with that statement?”
  • [PARENTS] Tell your child how you came to place your faith in Jesus Christ and what God is doing in your life right now.
  • “Knowing that Jesus is asking you the same question that He asked Bartimaeus, ‘What do you want Me to do for you?’ how would answer that question?”
  • How can I pray for you?

As always, it really is an honor and privilege to be a part of what God is doing in the lives of these students!
