2017 CAT Observations: Parenting, After-School & Youth Enrichment
Based on provider feedback, we will now conduct CAT observations during the 1-4 month visit, in order to allow providers more time to meaningfully implement suggested recommendations. Upcoming CAT observations will take place between September 1 and November 30; each program should send the most updated version of its schedule to its contract manager no later than
August 31
. This is the
only

Volunteers Needed for The Children's Trust 2017 Family Expo
Our
FREE
Family Expo is celebrating its 11th anniversary this year, and we're looking for volunteers to lend a hand! Taking place on Saturday, September 9, from 10 a.m to 5 p.m. at the Miami-Dade County Fair and Exposition, the event attracts hundreds of child and family services exhibitors sharing vital information with approximately 15,000 visitors. The day is also marked by a slew of fun activities for kids, including interactive games, a robotics room, live musical performances, face painters, and arts and crafts, to name just a few.
As a volunteer, you'll have a great time at the event; receive complimentary lunch, refreshments and snacks; and log in community service hours (if needed).

Radical Partners announces Social Entrepreneurship Bootcamp, a free, 12-week program for founders and executive directors of organizations that address pressing issues in Miami. Participants are paired up with an individual coach and host a series of whole group labs and events focused on building capacity and increasing the impact of the organizations they lead. Youth Mental Health First Aid Training (YMHFA)
The Youth Mental Health First Aid Training (YMHFA) course is designed to train adults on how to recognize and support youth developing signs and symptoms of mental illness or emotional crisis, by applying a core 5-step action plan. The Target Youth Soccer grants program provides support for player registration fees, player and field equipment, and training and professional development for volunteer coaches. Any eligible school, government agency, nonprofit organization or nonprofit regional/local soccer organization within the U.S., serving children and youth ages 5-18 years, may apply. - Teacher - Head Start Must possess minimum bachelor’s degree in early childhood education, pre-K or primary education, preschool education or related field; and must be VPK certified.
