Terry the Thankful Turkey Author Visit

Thank you to all that turned out to support Marcela Osello as she launched her new book, Terry the Thankful Turkey. Ms. Osello, is a 2002 graduate of Assumption, a professional accountant, author, and entrepreneur.

On Thursday evening she shared her story and introduced our students to Terry and his message of gratitude. Gift sets were available and Ms. Osello signed and personalized every book that was purchased.

If you are interested in purchasing this wonderful book, order forms are still available in the main office.  Learn more about Terry and his wholesome message by visiting the website Terry the Thankful Turkey

Student Presentation Honors Our Veterans

Deacon Ray, Mr. Suma, Mr. Errico, and Mr. Heady
The Assumption student body gathered together on Thursday to honor all veterans, but especially those in our own community.

Middle school students prepared a presentation detailing the history of Veteran's Day, the significance of the poppy flower, and the increasing role of women in the military.

Two grandfathers of current students, an alumni father and current board member, and our own Deacon Ray were honored by our students for their service.

One veteran and grandfather of Stevie Batista; Mr. Andy Heady was awarded the Distinguished Service Award for his military and charitable service to the community and Assumption Catholic School.
Homes for the Brave Souper Bowl  Going On Now
Help  Us Collect Over 1000 Cans of Soup for Homeless Veterans

Current Can Count: 425

The PreK 3 class is collecting cans of soup for the homeless veterans at Homes for the Brave. We have been supporting this mission for over 15 years and last year we set a record by collecting and donating  over 1000 cans of soup.

Students are asked to bring cans of soup to school every Monday from now until the Super Bowl.  In exchange, participating students can wear jeans with their uniform or their favorite team jersey on the Monday they donate the soup.
