We are thrilled about the buzz Trumbo the book and movie have been creating around Hollywood and the English speaking world at the Toronto Film Festival!
In Bruce Cook's Trumbo, Dalton Trumbo is the central figure in the "Hollywood Ten," the blacklisted and jailed screenwriters. One of several hundred writers, directors, producers, and actors who were deprived of the opportunity to work in the motion picture industry from 1947 to 1960, he was the first to see his name on the screen again with his epic war movie Exodus, one of the year's biggest movies in 1960.
Trumbo the book, Grand Central Publishing, is out now!
Trumbo the movie, starring Bryan Cranston, Diane Lane and Helen Mirren opens nationwide November 6th, 2015.

Trumbo the movie, script written by John McNamara, directed by Jay Roach, starring Bryan Cranston, Diane Lane, and Helen Mirren scheduled release November 6, 2015 by Bleecker Street
A fantastic review from DEADLINE Hollywood by Peter Hammond!
"This film packs a punch. It got a five-minute standing O after its public screening, that went on so long Roach decided to bring it to a halt. Guarantee you writers especially will be moved, particularly by Bryan Cranston's performance.
As he was being swarmed by well-wishers Cranston couldn't contain his enthusiasm for playing Trumbo. "I loved it. I really just had a blast and Jay is incredible to work with."
Cranston took the film and showed it to 99-year-old Kirk Douglas who said he loved it and issued a public statement to that effect."
Kevin Polowy at YAHOO cannot say enough good things about Bryan Cranston!
"Trumbo marks his first major leading role, and it's the best Cranston's been outside of Bad's dusty New Mexican landscapes. The actor is able to disappear beneath the horn-rimmed glasses, fantastic 'stache, perpetually furled brow, and constant stream of witticisms from the mouth of famed screenwriter Dalton Trumbo."
Tim Gray at VARIETY is predicting an Oscar!
"Cranston again shows his versatility and lives up to the old bromide 'star of stage, screen and television'. He has built in appeal for Oscar voters."
Lou Lumenick at The New York Post has nothing but kind words!
"It's a cracking good story, and Cranston does a great job portraying a man who made great sacrifices for his principles."

Trumbo by Bruce Cook, the book, published by Grand Central Publishing, 8th September 2015
Interview with Judith Aller about the unique bond her late husband, Bruce Cook, forged with Dalton Trumbo, at Book Trib, by Michael Ruscoe!
"Trumbo was larger than life itself and those moments with Dalton Trumbo shaped the rest of Bruce's life," Aller said. "Trumbo, as a model, as a kind of inspiration, led Bruce to the many wor ks that he wrote afterwards as a novelist."
Fabulous Amazon review for the book is in!
"Trumbo is a timely and thought provoking look into liberty, free speech and values. What I found most interesting in Cook's Trumbo, was that Dalton Trumbo and the Hollywood Ten could have pleaded the Fifth Amendment to not incriminate themselves when hauled before the House Committee on Un-American Activities. Rather, they plead the First Amendment: Free Speech. You will thoroughly enjoy this book."
