Ministry Center Groundbreaking Ceremony
Sunday, October 22 at 12:30 p.m.
We are finally ready to break ground on our new Ministry Center! A lot of people have been working behind the scenes to get us to this point and the generosity of many parishioners has allowed us to move forward with the new construction. Please join us as we celebrate the work that has been done and the promise of what the new Ministry Center will mean to our church and our community. Bring your own shovels (from plastic shovels to snow shovels -- any shovel is welcome) and help us celebrate. Please RSVP to
Peggy Miller.

THE VESTRY NEEDS YOU
The Nominating Committee of the Vestry is currently soliciting nominations for Vestry membership. Soon, we will need to elect four parishioners to three-year terms each. This is an especially important and exciting time in our parish life to be a member of the Vestry as it works with the new permanent Rector. We ask that you prayerfully consider submitting your name as a nominee no later than Friday, November 3. Please contact
Tom MacCracken or
Lyndon Shakespeare if you are interested or would like to discuss your possible membership in this ministry.

One Day Opening to Grace Retreat
Saturday, October 21; 9 a.m.-4 p.m.
Jesus invites us to "love ourselves" so that we can "love our neighbors as we love ourselves." Through the Gestalt Pastoral Care healing modality, we can begin to discover ourselves more deeply, and especially those parts of us pushing for resolution and healing. We can enter into this process through dreams, simple awareness, or just our curiosity and willingness to explore! The cost is $150 for a full participant and $80 for an observer/intercessor. Space is limited. Please contact
Alexandra MacCracken, GPCA Minister and Trainer.

The Parable of the Wedding Banquet
This Sunday, October 15; 10:10 a.m.; McGill Hall Gospel living only begins with the invitation. It cannot remain a mere idea; its one essential thing is a transformed life. Though many have been called, the ones who are to be chosen are those who are living in a new way, who have put on life in Christ. Jesus suggests that fruitfulness can indeed be "put on" like a wedding robe--or a baptismal garment--that the outward effects of gospel choices will finally settle in the heart. Link to the lesson plan for the day HERE.

NEW - Coffee Hour Ministry Coordinator
The ECW is pleased to announce that parishioner, Katy Lee, has volunteered to be our Coffee Hour Ministry Coordinator. Katy will monitor the Time to Sign Up website to be sure each week is covered for setup and cleanup. It would be a tremendous help to Katy if each ministry took one or two Sunday's a year to volunteer at coffee hour. Please email
Katy Lee or visit
Time to Sign Up to volunteer.
We also want to acknowledge and thank Chris Mihm for his many year's of continued faithful service in picking up the bagels and donuts each Sunday morning. Please let
Helen Mertz or
Anita Webster know if you can provide backup for Chris when he is away. The ECW also wants to thank Chris Doyle for her faithful commitment to Coffee Hour these past years.
