	Simchat Torah Wednesday, October 11 6:15 pm - Service and Unrolling the Torah 7:00 pm - Dinner Singing and dancing accompany the annual unrolling of the Torah as we read the last verses of Deuteronomy and begin Genesis again. Children, students, and adults gather to see the entire scroll at once, to learn and to celebrate the gift of Torah.
	Simchat Torah-Shmini Atzeret and Yizkor Service Thursday, October 12 at 10:00 am Our festival morning service marks these many conclusions and new beginnings, and is followed by a Yizkor memorial service.
	Hebrew Cafe Monday, October 16 at 2:00 pm Always wanted to learn conversational Hebrew? Join our Sh'licha (Israeli emissary) Omer Nisanov, every Monday, for conversational Hebrew and coffee. Come add your voice to the conversation! No registration required.
	Israeli Cooking for Adults led by Omer Nisanov Tuesday, October 17 at 10:30 am Our Sh'licha (Israeli emissary), Omer Nisanov, will introduce foods of different cultures within Israel. Through class conversation using Hebrew vocabulary, she will explain the background and significance of these foods, as well as provide recipes. No registration required. Next class meets November 14.
	Rosh Chodesh 5778: Jewish Women and The Refugee Experience Led by Cantor Jill Abramson Tuesday, October 17 at 11:30 am Bring your lunch and join others to investigate the topic of women and the refugee crisis across decades. Our text will be Mary Pipher's The Middle of Everywhere: Helping Refugees Enter The American Community. Everyone is asked to procure their own copy of the book. Next class meets November 14.
	Men's Club Meeting Tuesday, October 17 at 7:00 pm The WRT Men's Club is a member of Men of Reform Judaism, an affiliate of the Union for Reform Judaism (URJ). They are involved in youth education, adult education, social action, and fellowship activities. Click here for more information and to join.
	Living with Divorce: Support Group Tuesday, October 17 at 7:30 pm A monthly support and discussion group with Jane Slevin, LMFT (Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist), from Westchester Jewish Community Services. Participate in a conversation and connect with others facing similar challenges. For those at all stages of the divorce process.

	Kickboxing led by Omer Nisanov Wednesday, October 18 at 9:30 am Join Omer for a weekly workout of Israeli-style kickboxing, while listening to Israeli music and learning some Hebrew. All are welcome. No registration required. Next class is October 25.
	And She Said: Women's Commentaries on the Bible Led by Eliana Fischel, WRT Rabbinic Intern Wednesday, October 18 at 11:00 am This class uses The Torah: A Women's Commentary , Nehama Leibowitz's interpretations, and Judith Plaskow's philosophy to understand important Biblical passages from the feminine and feminist perspectives. Next class meets November 15.
	Everything You Ever Wanted to Know About Reform Judaism Led by Rabbi Jonathan Blake Thursday, October 19 at 9:30 am Rabbi Blake's first class "The Roots of Reform" is part of a comprehensive series about Reform Jewish history, heritage, values, principles, and projections for the future, culminating in a spotlight on WRT and its role in our Movement. The next class will meet October 26.
	iSing Shabbat - K-4th graders and their families Friday, October 20 at 6:00 pm A service consisting of 30 minutes of soulful music led by clergy, projected sing-a-long lyrics, and candle lighting. There will be Israeli-style and kid-friendly food for families. Please RSVP to [email protected].
	Aging Well Series - *Preparing For Aging* Sunday, October 22 at 10:00 am This three-part series is for adults who are concerned for themselves as well as those who are caring for aging family members, and will include a panel of experts who will share information, suggestions and advice. 	Tot Shabbat - The Torah Friday, October 27 at 5:30 pm A short service led by WRT clergy on a monthly basis for families with infants through 5 year-olds, and includes a craft project and supper. These services are for parents and children as well as grandparents and their grandchildren. Children must be accompanied by an adult for this program. (No drop-offs). RSVP to [email protected].
