Thanksgiving is next week. Casper Pecan Company has a good supply of quality shelled pecan halves and pieces for your cooking and baking needs. Come on by while the good pecans last! There is a short supply of quality pecans this year, so don't be late.

Nana said that she has plenty of pecan pies baked and ready for your holiday needs. If you wish for her to reserve pies for you next week, just give us a call. And as always, we appreciate your business!!

Hearing my boys laugh and now hearing my Grandbaby laugh it's the best sound!
My husband who provides for our family!
For the swing in my backyard where I love to sit and watch Jax play!
Memories of loved ones that have gone!

For stepping outside my comfort zone and I went Zip Lining!

Supporting Our Military by Giving Something that Means Something

The Holidays for Heroes program is the effort of the American Red Cross to enable Americans to "Give Something That Means Something" this holiday season. We are inviting the public to send cards of thanks, encouragement, and holiday cheer to members of our U.S. Armed Forces, veterans, and their military families, many of whom will be far away from home and serving in harm's way this holiday season.

The Red Cross wants to ensure that anyone wishing to send holiday greetings to the members of our Armed Forces has the chance to do so. There are currently 2 million members of the U.S. military serving in our country and abroad and 24 million U.S. veterans. The Holiday Mail for Heroes campaign is a way for Americans to help spread much needed holiday cheer and thanks to the heroes of America and their families.

Each year the Wiregrass Foundation North honors supporters
of the college and the Foundation by hosting an annual meeting.
The 31st annual meeting will be November 29 at the
Charles Harris Learning Center on the Ben Hill-Irwin Campus.

Tickets are $50 per person, which includes prime rib meal and entertainment.
This year's entertainment is Singer and comedian Keenan Carter.
He's performed worldwide as the featured entertainer on curise ships
and spent two years performing in New York including the
Rainbow Room at Rockefeller Center.

2016
Fitzgerald Annual Christmas Parade
Theme:
"The Ugly Christmas Sweater"
The annual Christmas Parade, sponsored by the
Fitzgerald-Ben Hill Co. Chamber of Commerce &
Colony Business Association, will be held
Thursday, December 1st at 6:30 p.m.

Santa will arrive on the fire truck throwing tons of candy. Local businesses, churches, individual and civic organizations, are encouraged to participate and to build colorful floats.

The parade's theme is "The Ugly Christmas Sweater".
We are asking everyone who participates and attends the parade to wear their Ugliest Christmas Sweater.
The person selected as wearing the "Ugliest Christmas Sweater" will win a cash prize.
If you don't have an Ugly Christmas Sweater, check out 2nd hand stores to purchase a sweater you can add your own touch to by using Christmas decorations.

We will be judging the person who is wearing the
"Ugliest Christmas Sweater" after the Christmas Parade
in front of the Grand Theatre.
If you would like to participate in the "Ugliest Christmas Sweater" contest all you have to do is wear your sweater and bring a $5.00 toy or a canned food item.
The toys will be given to Toys for Tots and the canned goods will be given to the Christian Kitchen.

The change to the parade theme is one that we think
will be fun and bring a lot of smiles from everyone.
Every year we have a great parade with a lot of participation and this year we want
onlookers to be part of the parade.

Give the Chamber a call for the application
(229) 423-9357.
