Opioid addiction has become an epidemic. Spurred by both national and local headlines, the Division is hosting a meeting for faculty who want to collaborate on tackling this critical issue. The focus will be stimulating interdisciplinary research and educational opportunities that:
- address the public health emergency of opioid addiction and overdose deaths;
- address the multiple biomedical, behavioral, clinical, and social challenges involved in all forms of substance use disorders.
Vice President for Research Dan Flynn, Ph.D., will give opening remarks. There will also be opportunities for networking and developing ideas to shape an FAU research agenda. Light snacks will be provided.
