Seminary Sunday, October 22nd
On Sunday, October 22nd, we will be honored to welcome Russ Kerr to our pulpit.  Russ, who is currently pursuing his Masters of Divinity at Union Presbyterian Seminary (UPS) in Charlotte, is the current recipient of the  Ridenhour Scholarship, which is awarded each year by our Presbyterian Women to a deserving seminary student. Dr. R ichard Boyce, Dean of the Charlotte campus of UPS, will also be assisting in worship.
500th Anniversary of the Reformation
On October 31, 1517, a priest named Martin Luther nailed 95 "suggestions" for church reform to the doors  of a cathedral in Wittenberg, Germany. It was a critical spark in the movement that would become the Protestant Reformation. On October 29, 2017 , just shy of 500 years after Luther's  bold action, we will celebrate our Reformation-era heritage with two special worship services:
8:45 a.m. --  Join us in Memorial Garden for bagpipes, acoustic music and reflections on our Reformed Heritage.
11 :00 a.m -- In the Sanctuary, we will be blessed by music from a special ensemble of brass instruments who will supplement our traditional liturgy and order of worship.
Wednesday Night Fellowship Kitchen Help
Our church hostess, Jayne Maurer, is a wizard in the kitchen as she faithfully feeds our church family every Wednesday night!  But she can't do it alone.  Feeding this group can get a little messy, so we need your help drying the dishes and putting them away.  The kitchen crew is a lot of fun, so don't miss out on this opportunity to serve your church family!  Click here to sign up:
The Lunch Bunch heads for the hills!
