Georgia: CSF Hosts Feral Hog Management Discussion and Hunt
On November 2-4, the Congressional Sportsmen's Foundation (CSF) hosted a Feral Hog Management Discussion and Hunt outside of Milledgeville, Georgia. On November 8, more than 80 percent of voters in both Indiana and Kansas approved ballot measures that amended their state constitutions to guarantee Hoosiers and Kansans the right to hunt, fish, and harvest wildlife. By ratifying the amendments, Indiana and Kansas became the 20th and 21st states to ensure the protection of their hunting, angling, and trapping traditions for future generations...
On November 10, the Michigan Legislative Sportsmen's Caucus hosted a breakfast briefing in Lansing, Michigan. Caucus members, legislative staffers, Department of Natural Resources staff and members of the local sportsmen's community joined together for the event, which was sponsored by the Michigan Steelhead and Salmon Fishermen's Association...
On November 8, Montanans soundly rejected Initiative 177 (I-177), which would have banned trapping on public lands in Montana, subverting the science-based fish and wildlife management model in the United States...
Sunday hunting was on the ballot in 11 West Virginia counties this November, and voters overwhelmingly approved Sunday hunting in all 11 counties. The slimmest margin of victory was 55 percent in Barbour County, but many counties approved the measure by wider margins, including 73 percent in Monongalia County. Cumulatively, 188,455 voters (66.7 percent) supported Sunday hunting in the 11 counties...

CSF is currently accepting applications for a Federal Relations Coordinator who will work in the Washington, DC office. The Federal Relations Coordinator will be responsible for developing, coordinating and implementing outreach strategies designed to enhance the organization's engagement on federal policy issues. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of experience working on federal natural resource policy issues through employment by a Member of Congress or federal agency. This is a full-time salaried position with upward mobility potential.
CSF is currently accepting applications for the Brad Rowse Fellow Internship Program. Brad Rowse Fellows at the Congressional Sportsmen's Foundation (CSF) will have the opportunity to learn the importance of the policy process related to hunting, angling, recreational shooting, trapping, and other conservation issues impacting sportsmen and women. This is a paid internship with a stipend of up to $1000 a month, and academic credit is strongly supported.
Registration is now open for the 13th Annual National Assembly of Sportsmen's Caucuses (NASC) Sportsman-Legislator Summit. The Summit provides an opportunity for caucus members and partners to collaborate and devise year-long strategies to advance sportsmen's interests in state legislatures. This year, discussion topics include: lead ammunition bans, strategies for promoting the value of hunting and angling to the public, and key fisheries issues, among others. In addition, attendees will discuss the wide range of challenges currently facing America's sportsmen and women, along with the strategies necessary to overcome those challenges to protect and advance America's outdoor heritage, traditions, and sportsmen-generated conservation dollars in the years to come.

CSF to Host Cast & Blast this December
CSF is hosting a Cast & Blast on Maryland's Eastern Shore/Atlantic Ocean from December 11- 13. Space is limited. The trip will consist of waterfowl hunting and salt water fishing. Pitboss Waterfowl, one of the best known sea duck hunting guides in the Mid-Atlantic, will offer a variety of sea ducks including: old squaws, surf scoters, and canvasbacks. Guests will also have the opportunity to fish for late season striped bass.

Should hunters be allowed to hunt with airguns and airbows if they are taxed like firearms, archery and other hunting and fishing equipment through the American System of Conservation Funding?
