+ worship
This Sunday we celebrate Christ the King and the new covenant that he brings. We hear the word of God through Jeremiah, words of comfort in the midst of a book of judgement, which promise God's presence and forgiveness for all people. In Luke, Jesus institutes the new covenant, giving of himself for our salvation. We will hear the good news that Christ reigns in the Kingdom of God, and we are invited into that holy kingdom.

+ nursery volunteers needed!
We try to make worship welcoming for young families here at Nativity, and one important part of that is to provide a nursery for those children who are too fussy for church. While we provide one staff person for this task, we also support that person with a volunteer assistant. We are now in need of volunteers.
If
you would like to volunteer to spend your time with some very cute and playful children, we ask you to prayerfully consider signing up for a Sunday or two by clicking
here.
If you have questions, please call the church office at 828-684-0352.

Ending well in 2016
With 6 Sundays remaining in this calendar year, we are now in the home-stretch.
As the chart shows, we are most of the way to meeting our giving goal for 2016. In order to end well this year, we need to receive $109,509 in these final two months. Please complete your pledges for the year, so that we can end well. (Unpledged gifts are also welcome!) Thank you for contributing to the ministry of Nativity!
