Visit Santa Clara's Virtual Tour Takes You There

Being in the center of Silicon Valley, it makes sense that the Santa Clara Convention & Visitor's Bureau (CVB) has gone virtual. Using technology developed by partner XPlorIT Interactive Video, visitors can fly from above right down to ground level to explore California's Great America theme park, Levi's Stadium, Santa Clara Convention Center, and Santa Clara University, among other highlighted visitor locations.

It's as simple as visiting
www.SantaClara.org and clicking on "Santa Clara Virtual Tour." The virtual tour gives web users an up close preview of many of the city's visitor attractions. For convention delegates and/or prospective meeting and event planners, the virtual tour of the Santa Clara Convention Center allows you to virtually walk through nearly every area of the building. The average time spent on the virtual tour is five minutes.

CVB's Visit Santa Clara Website Continues to Grow Visitor Spending

The Santa Clara Convention and Visitors Bureau's (CVB) Visit Santa Clara website generated an estimated $614,126 in Visitor Spending in the city of Santa Clara this July. This according to a recent Destination Marketing Association of the West (DMA West) study that determined the Visitor Spending Impact and ROI  that CVB websites produce for their communities

The DMA West study of nearly 400,000 web users indicated an average value of $37 in Direct Visitor Spending from each True/New User to a CVB website. The Santa Clara visitor information site at www.SantaClara.org influences visitor spending in regards to hotel rooms, extended stays, offsite venues, visitor attraction, special events, places to eat, transportation, and other hospitality related spending.
