CALL FOR NOMINATIONS - NBBQA Board of Directors

We are heading into NBBQA's bi-annual election cycle for Officer and Director roles on the NBBQA Board of Directors. 
 
The NBBQA Nominations Committee is seeking nominations for:   President-Elect* Secretary, Treasurer, East Region Board Member**, Central Region Board Member**, West Region Board Member** and three (3)  Board Members-at-Large.
All candidates must be active members of NBBQA in good standing.  Our electronic ballot link will be sent to all NBBQA members in good standing on  December 29th and all votes must be cast by  January 31st.   All elected Officers and Directors will be required to attend our one-day Board Orientation and Board Meeting on Wednesday, March 29 th  in Fort Worth, TX prior to I Am BBQ 2017 - The NBBQA Annual Conference & BBQ Bash. 

Per NBBQA Bylaws, members of the Board of Directors do not receive any compensation or travel reimbursement for our annual in-person meeting.  Participation on monthly Board of Director conference calls is mandatory. 
To nominate yourself, please send an email to  [email protected], which should include:
  1. Your full name.
  2. The Board position for which you are nominating yourself.
  3. A 100 word bio, which must include a personal statement as to why you are interested in serving on the NBBQA Board of Directors.
The deadline for nominations is  December 1st, 2016.  Each candidate will be verified to ensure they meet the requirements outlined above.

* Nominees for the role of President Elect shall be currently serving or have previously served a minimum of two (2) years on the NBBQA Board of Directors .

In a country that consumes half the world's pork, price swings have become so large that they hurt the ability of domestic producers to keep up with demand, even with a herd of 450 million pigs. Imports are the highest ever and exceed all other buyers.
